@MurrayOrchard @CousinsRon Much commoner species than is often realised & able to exploit Elm which remains almost everywhere but never becomes full grown trees.

@AmwellBirding A pair of Barn Owls can be seen regularly at Amwell at dawn and dusk throughout the year. At the moment Hollycross and the field to the North is more reliable than the viewpoint but that can change at any time.

@StuartFox1 @HMWTBadger @Hertsbirds @AmwellBirding We heard at Rye Meads today that barn owls can be seen at Amwell eg at dusk. Have you seen them there and, if so, is this year round or only at certain times of year?

Last one was in the 70’s when the Baltic froze.
