For National Comic Book Day, we invited local Dallas comic book author Gabriel Hernandez and illustrator Robert Arista to host a workshop with our 4th graders! We talked about creating characters, paneling, and students showed off their own comic book creations! ❤️ @CowartDISD

3rd grade project incoming ‼️After reading “The Astronaut Who Painted the Moon” about Alan Bean, students moved in centers to learn about the moons surface using Merge cubes and other resources! 🌗🔎 ✨ Next week -> creating our own Bean-inspired art! @CowartDISD @DISD_Libraries

The January choice board has been such a hit this week with my 3-5th graders! Everything from creating snowflakes, art tutorials, and “temu minecraft” (😂), choice boards are perfect for the library space! @DISD_Libraries @CowartDISD

House Day today was all about gratitude 💕 snuck in some writing practice today with these gratitude cards that students made for a special person in their life! @CowartDISD

5th graders are starting a college & career project to practice authentic research skills! We used Time for Kids and took their job personality quiz, practiced taking two column notes, and next we will start looking up potential colleges! 🎓✏️📝 @DISD_Libraries @CowartDISD
