@DAaronovitch I've been clearing my garden and there's loads of sticks and twigs lying around. You should see the starlings piling in taking them away to build nests. Really love the noise they make.

19 birds recorded from my London window in half an hour this am using the Merlin app. Including a starling, which we don't often get. A small joy!

Over the moon to find this STUNNING red tailed bumblebee queen yesterday, basking in the sunshine on our Crocus Especially happy because this particular species hasn’t been doing well over the last few years. Fingers crossed for a period of good weather for her now…
