Am promulgat astăzi legea de aprobare a ordonanței de urgență care a actualizat cadrul legislativ din domeniul monitorizării electronice a persoanelor inculpate de săvârşirea anumitor infracțiuni, astfel încât România să aibă toate reglementările necesare pentru a-și respecta noile obligații date de contextul aderării la spațiul Schengen. În completarea normelor existente, Ordonanța a introdus în anul 2024 alerta de apropiere frontieră, care se declanșează în situația constatării prezenței dispozitivului electronic purtat de persoana supravegheată la o distanță mai mică de 30 km de frontieră. Noile prevederi actualizate, inclusiv introducerea alertei de apropiere a frontierei, consolidează capacitatea de control și reacție a autorităților în timp real pentru a se asigura că măsurile judiciare sunt respectate. Finalizarea procesului legislativ și toate aceste prevederi permit ca monitorizarea electronică să fie realizată unitar și coerent, cresc siguranța publică, protejează mai bine victimele și aliniază România la standardele europene în materie de justiție și securitate.
