Casemiro looked visibly emotional at full-time, wiping away tears 💔 You can see how much the club means to him and the love from United fans is mutual 🔴 #MUFC

This is the result of football being grown from the grass roots up, affordable ticket prices and football clubs whose first principle is winning trophies rather than making money.

🔴⚪️ River Plate have reached 105 consecutive sold-out matches, with more than 85.000 fans in attendance at the Mâs Monumental. This was the team’s reception at the latest Superclásico against Boca Juniors. ⤵️🎥

@ammandev It's actually hilarious, the way he holds his hands up! Not me, Guv. It's not a red card, but neither was the one on him. Authorities now just make things up.

Noticing that "hair pulls are automatically a red card for violent conduct and three-match ban, and those are simply the rules" has been abandoned to "play on, no free-kick" within less than two weeks.

@MUFCDarren_ @kellylongmanutd That’s more of a red card than Martinez, there was more force. Had the Chelsea player had an Alice band in, it would have gone at least 1.5mph to the ground quicker than Calvert-Lewins. The elite level game is a shambles. It’s chronic and it’s going to kill itself

Undoubtedly Ian but that doesn’t make them wrong. These are not anomalous and as long as they refuse to fill the vacuum with actual explanations from paid professionals over why they adjudicate the same offense completely different from one day to the next then they can’t complain that fans don’t fill in those blanks charitably. The idea that the average football fan (you and me) is too primal and tempestuous to handle explanations from officials is ridiculous. I am desperately looking for a reasonable explanation why the same referee has determined that a hair pull is an incontrovertible red card on a Monday but an identical offense 4 days later is not. Fans deserve those answers

@DominicMcGregor A grand? Are you mad? If you went on an epic bender on each occasion, you’d be hard pushed to part with a grand, even in these disgusting times.

They played their 3 weeks ago in the carabao cup final. They will play their again in 3 weeks in the FA cup final. It would cost over £1,000 for someone to attend all these games and get the train to and from London (if it’s running) There’s 2 options to address this. 1) Have the semi final in a neutral non London venue. 2) Invest in our countries infrastructure to bring reduce train tickets to people. Other countries get it - most have discounted tickets for nationals 🇩🇪 Germany — €63/month Deutschlandticket. 13 million subscribers. Just extended to 2030. 🇦🇹 Austria — €1,300/year for every train, tram and bus in the country. 🇭🇺 Hungary — €49/month nationwide. 90% off for students. We’ve made travelling to your own capital a luxury good. Those empty red seats aren’t a football problem. They’re a national productivity problem. Every empty seat is a Mancunian priced out of watching their own team in their own country’s cup final at their own national stadium.

📍 Wembley Man City end today 👀 A lot of empty seats for a semi-final… 👇 What’s the reason?

@johnaokane Because of the number of charges, and unlike the other clubs that admitted guilt (for less severe offences), Citeh are contesting and scrutinising every one of theirs. The thing I don’t understand is why the punishment (or lack of it) is taking so long 🤷‍♂️

Manchester City’s almost 2 decade long financial doping and cheating the system has stolen titles away from honest teams, it’s stolen titles, trophies, cup finals, European places, vital revenue, it’s stolen fans who would have supported clubs like United, Arsenal or in Buvey’s case Bristol Rovers. Seeing media outlets openly celebrate these “achievements” from Manchester City just makes me feel like this sport is further and further away from being whole again. What Manchester City (and Chelsea) have done to the beautiful game should never be forgiven.
Goals Side@goalsside

Manchester City have made history as the first club ever to reach the FA Cup final in four consecutive seasons: • 2022/23 (🏆) • 2023/24 (🥈) • 2024/25 (🥈) • 2025/26 🆕 The Citizens are now just one match away from securing a second domestic cup double under Pep Guardiola. 🏆🏆 {@Squawka}

@dskimcbski Yes. Great name by the way. I suppose it’s fitting in the worst period of football in living memory that you love a bang average player 👍 Speaks volumes 👌

It’s not embarrassing. They’ve been to Wembley something like 33 times since Guardiola took over. Their fan base is predominantly a working class Manchester demographic. They don’t have endless pots of gold in their bank accounts. The issue is semi finals being played at Wembley
South Stand Pies@SouthStandPies

The most successful team in England in the last ten years and there were 10,000 empty Man City seats at Wembley. And that’s after they gave some to Southampton! Embarrassing. #MNCSOT

🚨Gary Neville on Calvert-Lewin not getting a red card: I guess it’s only considered violent conduct when it involves a Manchester United player. This is exactly the same offense Lisandro Martinez was given a straight red card for. When it’s not a United player, their eyes are suddenly closed. The inconsistency in these decisions is frustrating and honestly raises serious questions about officiating standards. Fans just want fairness and clear application of the rules across the board, regardless of the club or player involved. It’s unfair, to be honest, and I really don’t understand why it keeps happening.

You and I are the average football fan and i believe that we have the mental capacity to handle explanations from paid professionals over why they gave completely different decisions without a referees safety being in jeopardy, I also think we deserve them. Teenagers are rolled out every week in front of cameras to explain decisions so why can’t referees? If they don’t then nobody can complain about the fact that people won’t be charitable with their conclusions. The only people that know the answers to these questions refuse to give them and then complain that fans speculate unkindly, what else did they think would happen? Fans are the only ones who aren’t being paid to be there yet they’re treated with total contempt for having the audacity to assume that anything they think matters. Fans pay an absolute fortune to watch games decided by players on the field, not by officials with out of control egos. Egos that we are responsible for by infantilizing them and by turning them in to celebrities. Nobody expects perfection from them and we know it’s a hard job but that’s why they’re paid professionals. The game is being absolutely destroyed by officiating

The VAR wanted a closer look at a potential hair pull by Dominic Calvert-Lewin on Marc Cucurella... Nothing doing. The Leeds United forward had his hair pulled by Manchester United Lisandro Martinez at Old Trafford — the Argentinian was shown a red card... 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹. Modern football.
