🤕BREAKING: Sven Botman has undergone surgery on a facial fracture suffered during Sunday's defeat to Sunderland. It is hoped he will be available for the closing weeks of the campaign. Another injury blow for NUFC. Get well soon Sven.

You know what, even the polite applause was up there with clapping Qarabag scoring for me. It’s possible to just stand up and leave. Those uncomfortable with booing could just leave quietly.

@StephenNUFC1892 Exactly how I saw it as well. I don't condone booing the players off as it doesn't help at all. I also couldn't bring myself to applaud them either. That would have taken more effort than some seemed to offer during the game.

I can forgive a derby defeat if it’s been fiercely fought. I cannot forgive a derby defeat when the majority of players don’t play for the shirt. Not even close to a yellow till after they scored the winner. That’s what the boos were for lads. No effort when it mattered #nufc

The east stand display looks pretty cool from that angle. And the NUFC over the full milburn. Obviously in the ground you don’t get to see it properly.

💪🏻 Absolutely bullied the Newcastle defence from the off, occupying four of them for most of the game.
🤷🏽♂️ #NUFC didn’t know how to handle him — Botman was probably relieved when he had to go off, and Thiaw didn’t fare much better.
🫡 Thoroughly deserved his derby winner…it been coming since half-time.

I’m going to say it now so we are all clear. I’m not calling for Eddie Howe to be sacked because he remains the best manager for the job and has over achieved for four years. My view hasn’t changed on that.
Yes this is difficult and he’s under huge pressure now but he deserves a chance to rebuild the team in the summer and go again. And I’m very confident he will bring more success in the future.
