At HT at the Etihad at the end of November, Daniel Farke made a radical change to #LUFC’s formation. Since then, Leeds have been in the top half of the Premier League form table. Leeds are unbeaten in 6 league games and have only lost 4 in the last 21. They have been outplayed twice this season both times against Arsenal, every other game has been tight and could have gone either way. They are closer to the European spots than relegation. But some are still anxious about relegation so to put the fight into context: Tottenham would need to win 3 of their 4 remaining matches. They have only won 3 games in the last 20; and in recent weeks they have lost pivotal players to injury. Leeds would need to lose all 3 of their remaining games. They have only lost 4 in the last 21; and in recent weeks have got players back from injury and are at close to full strength. Leeds almost certainly won’t get into Europe and should Spurs lose away at Villa Park on Sunday, will need a single point to stay up. That win yesterday was absolutely vital and has them as good as safe. A few well-deserved days off for the squad, one more point to go.
