A guy buys a console and ofc there's pc guys being annoying about it. These guys need to realize a lot of people literally do not care about the benefits of pc. I keep saying this but without emulation I'd have zero interest in it.

I worked my ASS OFF at work this month I earned a decent bonus I haven't had a new home console since the Dreamcast in 1999 Wife surprised me with a brand new Series X (physical ofc) I was *originally* going to get a PS5 Pro with my bonus But Sony decided to raise their prices two days ago and I'm just not paying $900 for a PlayStation absolutely not, on principle Sure, there's a few exclusive titles I want to play but I don't care that much tbh Plus I like the Microsoft controllers significantly better even tho I have always been a PS person in the past I really just wanted the ability to play Code Veronica, and the occasional AAA title that isn't available on Switch So a week or so after the Sony accouncement I changed my mind and we agreed once we got a current gen console we would do a Series X It's crazy to have something new for once we have stepped into the 21st century PC Elitists- calm down. I don't want a gaming PC, I don't care that they're objectively better and more versatile don't be annoying please thanks Now to play my 25 year old game with state if the art hardware!!

@red047x I'll never understand the obsession with 4k, especially with the sacrifices you have to make. 1440p is the sweet spot and you don't have to spend a ton to achieve it.

All these console prices combined costs more than what I payed for my pc. I typically play games at 1440p high settings over 100fps, sometimes 60. Depends on the game. I dont really care about 4k and Ray tracing and all that

Like I get why people are upset with me about PC Gaming vs Consoles etc but in my case: My PC Tower with everything in it is $3,700, not including my full setup and games that I bought. Consoles when I bought them were: PS5 Pro w Disc Drive $885 Xbox Series X $500 Switch 2 $500

Finished bayonetta 2, enjoyed it a little bit more than bayonetta 1. Unfortunately these games aren't hitting as much as I hoped but they're a lot of fun and I'm glad I'm playing one of the most highly acclaimed games in the genre. Final rating: ⭐⭐⭐.75

Digital Foundry talked about if it's still possible to build a PC that matches PS5 Pro for $900. Short answer: No/Really hard. Marc Duddleson from My Life in Gaming tried and got there with $962 but RAM was paid for him. Prebuilds of that range at about ~$1400.
