Seems fair to offer grace to a 20yr old kid who gets nervous b/c he has no public speaking skills. I'd agree he should get some though.

@LadyBleach @packrunnergeez In the Hagakure, there is a part where it says, “After reading books and the like, it is best to burn them or throw them away,” and I remember after finishing Lolita I burned it - the only book. I’ve since then, read it two more times since then, unscathed.

I was thinking something similar because when I’ve heard people talk about Lolita, they talk about how humbert humbert is an unreliable narrator and he keeps insisting she loves him and he’s doing things for her own good when she’s trying to get away from him because he kidnapped her, she wants to go back home, and she wants to be with her peers.

@packrunnergeez I’ve noticed a lot of pedophiles are very childish in some capacity. One thing that was brought up around this case is that his parents decided to pull him out of school and start homeschooling him around 6th grade, which bears the question, did something happen?
