@robwitwer @jeffhunt Asking other campaigns if they want to work with Marxs is weird? I'm not a fan of him but this seems pretty straight forward.

@jeffhunt Yeah, but it’s still a little weird. I’ve worked on a whole bunch of campaigns, never heard of anything like that.

KYLE CLARK IS A LIAR. The claim that Victor Marx is circulating a loyalty pledge to other republican candidates is a gross mischaracterization. It's a campaign coordination framework document. How are campaigns going to work together? In fact, neither the word loyalty nor the word pledge appears in the document. 9news.com/article/news/p…

@johnhawkinsrwn Asian cultures don't kick their kids out of the house. Kicking them out when the median house price is $400k in our area is terrible advice. As long as my children are building their lives, going to school, working and saving for a house, etc. they can live with me.

Kick Your Kids Out of the House at 18 There was never a question that I would be leaving home at 18. My parents did help me with college, and I came home on the weekends a lot my freshman year, but much less so as time went on. When I got out of college, moving home wasn't an option. My parents didn't want me there, and I would have been ashamed to mooch off them. Instead, I got a crap job, got roommates, and started making it on my own while driving a barely functional car my parents got me in high school. Did I visit? Did I ask for advice? Did I get some help from my parents here and there? Absolutely. But you're not really an adult living your own life until you're out of your parents' house. "Oh, but it's tougher today...." No, it's not. Early on, my jobs sucked. I always had roommates. I had very little money. It was not fun, but I sucked it up and made it work. That doesn't make me exceptional; it just means I was doing what an adult was expected to do. One way or the other, kids shouldn't be staying with their parents through their mid-twenties. They need to get out on their own, make their own way, and forge their own identity as something other than Mama and Daddy's little boy or girl.
Complex@Complex

Nearly half of Americans under 30 are living with their parents. About 49% of U.S. adults under 30 now live with at least one parent, according to new data cited by The Wall Street Journal from the Federal Reserve. (via @WSJ )

A few questions for Scott Is it Christlike to allow LGBTQ activists to advance unopposed? Is it Christlike to allow Muslims to take over American towns and impose Sharia law? Is it Christlike to be doormats for the world to walk all over? Is it Christlike to be silent in the face of evil and corruption? Is it Christlike to allow gender ideology to continue indoctrinating children in schools? Is it Christlike for pastors to continue to surrender their prophetic voice in the public square? Is it Christlike for children to continue to be adopted by gay men only to hear gut-wrenching stories later about the abuse these children have endured? These are but a few consequences of Loser Theology, yet you call it the least Christlike book on theology you can imagine. Perhaps you should rethink your categories

We can say America is the greatest nation when we look through our own worldly eyes, compared to the rest of fallen humanity.  But in the eyes of a holy and righteous God ... America is disgusting. America is a land of unspeakable abominations. America is a land of pride and hate and greed and lust. And more than any other nation, America is full of blasphemous hypocrites pretending to be Christians, giving Him lip service and defiling His name, where the most popular preachers are heretics.  Who cares if America is better than all the other evil nations? She will still drink the cup of God's wrath with the rest of the world. Nothing we do as a nation can ever prevent that, because like all the others, we're a nation of sinners. God will judge America for every sin committed by every American every day. True repentance is only heart by heart, one soul at a time.  What Christians are called to contend for is the faith that results in a new nation, a holy nation, made up of all redeemed people in all nations. We proclaim the kingdom as its ambassadors, foreign aliens of another world invading this nation and all others.

The surge of patriotism we saw this last weekend should be remembered everyday. America is the greatest country on the earth and is worth fighting to preserve.

@jenniferwilkin You should ask your cohost JT about his local public school system (Jefferson County Public Schools) in Colorado. Perhaps you will understand “government school” and “taxpayer funded indoctrination”, where those who “don’t know what time it is”.

Call me a stickler, but if you regularly paint public school as “government school” and “taxpayer funded indoctrination”, where those who “don’t know what time it is” send their kids, your opinion on what is or isn’t included in the curriculum is not particularly relevant. 🤓

Visited a healthy church in another state today… While it was sweet to see some families worshipping together, I was grieved by how distracted parents were by their small children. In my view, everyone would have been better served by utilizing the kids ministry.

@CrazyEe33 @SarahLongwell25 @PeteButtigieg Not true. Straight white republican Christian men are the main pedophiles. Trump's not Christian but everything else holds true. The men in his administration are either in the Epstein files or one degree away. Trump is the main character in the files.

@CrazyEe33 I said it has no bearing on my thoughts, words and actions today. He was talking about what Christians do today, and my point is why should anything that happened in the past determine that? I'll do what I'll do regardless.

You know how often I think about the "Christian influence and presence in our nation's founding"? Never. That has zero bearing on my thoughts, words, and actions today. Because I follow a living Savior, not dead men from 250 years ago. I'm governed by Christ's influence and presence here and now, through His living word. He alone steers the course of history and the dictates of my conscience. He alone controls the future.

Warren Throckmorton - Christian Past That Wasn't
@CrazyEe33 @JarranSainsbury Given that they were British colonies, it isn't surprising they had an established church. With independence, the trend toward disestablishment accelerated. Despite the history of establishment, the delegates to the Const. Conv. included a no religious test clause.

Ironically enough, the ones REALLY trying to rewrite the past to change the future are the people attempting to claim America was founded as a Christian Nation. @wthrockmorton has a book about this very thing. There’s one group currently really pushing to rewrite the American founding and it’s not the secular progressives, it’s the Religious Right.
Josh Howerton@howertonjosh

Important for Christians to understand why secular progressives ardently attempt to erase the (vast) Christian influence + presence in our nation’s founding: The strategy = “Rewrite the PAST to control the FUTURE.” “How do we keep Christianity and Christians from influencing the legislated morality of the country and continue its hurl toward more evil? By deceiving people into believing the US was never largely influenced by Christianity in the past, so it never should be in the future.”
