Boomers and Gen X. Pretty similar in outlook and upbringing. We went without. We worked hard. We were respectful of others and the elderly. We had a laugh. We weren't always offended. We're chatty and friendly. So why do the generations after us hate us so much? 🤔

I think there are way more dysfunctional families out there than I ever realized. These people just don’t like each other. My parents had strong opinions about this. Their money was their money. They were often helpful, but they weren’t going to cut pack so it would leave more inheritance. Also, you leave your money to your kids, not grandchildren - that’s their parents’ job to deal with. I inherited. It’s my money. I’ll do as I wish. And yet, I frequently help my 2 daughters. When I die, they’ll inherit. No generation has the right to DEMAND anything from the previous generation.

Most people buy way more house than they need. I’ve worked in thousands of new construction homes, the number of 2 parent, 1 child families buying 2000+ square foot houses blows my mind. For decades larger families lived in 850 sq ft bungalows. What the fuck happened?

Gen Z loves STUFF.. look at what they spend money on and then whine that they cannot afford a home

Worked 46 years in a factory to pay my home off , no one gave me anything. I paid taxes worked hard and raised my children. Some people like me could not afford to contribute to a retirement account all I have is the SS I paid in and small pension from my employer. I make do with what I have but it’s not easy to come up with the property taxes every year to keep what I have.

How is that worse than "pay for my retirement because I didn't save" because that is what SS is
