Same actor. Same character. Different takes. Aquaman turns to alcoholism as a way of coping with his disconnection from both Atlantis and Humanity, and feeling alone. On the left you have Zack Snyder's portrayal. After saving the life of a stranded sailor in the ocean, he downs a bottle of whiskey and lets the waves swallow him before facing his heritage. On the right you have James Gunn's portrayal. He walks out of a bar like a stumbling idiot before falling and passing out in a puddle. One clearly cares about the character and one doesn't. You decide. (Post-credit of The Flash was done specifically for James Gunn to setup for his reboot)
