@DrLindaDykes @DrSteveTaylor I get the feeling 111 generates work that wouldn’t normally exist. Giving people the option to ask a question about an often self limiting disease that they would previously manage themselves is creating extra work for the health service

@DrSteveTaylor If 111 is only managing 15% of patients we’d surely be far better off scrapping it and releasing the clinicians involved back into F2F services?

111 is not a destination it’s a temporary holding zone for patients It only manages 15% of calls The rest are passed to other services which are at capacity

@bjjeditor 82% sensitivity is unacceptably low for a life-altering and time-critical condition like CES. Perhaps there is potential for development of a multi factorial clinical scoring tool of which bladder scanning could be one part, though?
