Is there any chance this sliding scale was just a set piece to distract that 100% is being given so victorious mica campaigners won’t inspire other protests against government? #micaredress

Is anyone else finding that covid is now everywhere? Every gathering, family, class, workplace; they all seem to be riddled in a way that’s totally different from this time last year. Maybe I’m viewing an unrepresentative sample, but from what I’m seeing, this looks woeful.

@JamesKavanagh_ Order them from the NHS to a parcel service in NI. 7 in a pack for free, you only pay delivery. Your point is correct about prices here though

Going away for the night with a friend so doing an antigen test before we meet. Went to 2 pharmacies - both out of stock 🙃 Got one in a garage for EIGHT euro. Free in the UK 🙃 Like…. Should there not be a price limit on them so people are more encouraged to use them?

@ciananbrennan It’s obviously they don’t want schools to close which is a sensible position

Irish society views Covid in catastrophic terms compared to others. Today's @businessposthq column suggests that this is explained by 1) no living memory of national trauma, such as WWII, and 2) the absence of a libertarian tradition. businesspost.ie/coronavirus/da…

@danobrien20 @eoinyk @businessposthq I know people in Sweden (Irish and swedes)and covid isn’t mentioned anymore. They are furious with their government for allowing so many deaths though and that is a common feeling

@eoinyk @businessposthq Of course it's an awful tragedy Eoin. The piece is about how differently we talk about it here compared to elsewhere. Ask your friends/ family abroad or non-Irish here who know their home countries.

When you see the online abuse directed at Jack Chambers for attending the Armagh church service you have to wonder why any young person would bother getting involved in public life. Calling him Union Jack Chambers is neither clever nor funny. It's depressing.

@SandraWeeden Maybe she didn’t want to get it or couldn’t get it? I suppose her medical details are private so unless the family discuss it I won’t be speculating

Poor woman, died of Covid after giving birth, only 35, never seen her new baby. Northern Ireland. It is not mentioned in the article whether or not Samantha had been vaxxed, I am therefore presuming she was unlucky, and somehow been missed. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sunday-life/ne…
