I am one of the biggest critics of government policies, but some people are objecting to the post below. My point is that everything should be judged through fair comparison and with perspective. Below is an article posted a few years back by @ProPakistaniPK. You can see the salaries of CEOs/presidents of other private banks at that time, and you can easily imagine what they must be earning now. @AmerSharifOFCL @ProPakistaniPK Agreed. By comparison, the President of HBL got paid 80 crores last year. This doesn't come anywhere near that. Acres between the public and private sector and if you want good bankers leading public banks, you have to offer a good package

I don’t understand why Pakistan never had a mandatory military conscription for all its citizens. Turkey enforces compulsory military service for all men upon reaching adulthood, with no exemptions based on ethnic or religious background. Why haven’t we ever done the same?

@sugar_kaka I think the "brain drain" is on purpose. They want accomplished people, who can think for themselves, who might oppose them one day, to leave the country. Makes the job of the jernails and shareefs much eaiser

@Makebrehman @minoqtopus I recall talking to a foreign national somewhere in blue area and he was like you guys need more road safety and I said if we made a list of our top 10 priorities in PK, safety wouldnt even make number 10, the same goes for the environment 😂

@TalhaEjaz07ee Ive never heard of anyone paying tax on gold. I have heard of people paying 30%-40% tax when profiting from KSE. The other problem is ease of use. Until 2018 when apps became mainstream there was no easy way to invest in stock market

So it's 16x in dollars KSE 100 on 1 Jan, 2000 opened = 1,462.15 So invest 1,462.15 rupees in it on 1 Jan, 2000; 1 USD = Rs. 51.90 So its $28.17 Today, that Rs. 1462.15 would be Rs. 164,831.42 Today $1 = Rs. 278.66 So it will be $591.52 So it's 21x in dollars

@PakWheels Am I the only one who feels like these expensive (10M+) electric vehicles are a fraud in PK? Like if someone can afford an electric vehicle in this range do they really worry about fuel prices? And if the response is we worry about the environment idk that one seems sketchy
