@AnalogDreamDev I know it's niche... but an engine like this with native VR support could cause a DRAMATIC shift. Good VR games don't have to be pretty. Just comfy and immersive. Even side-by-side 3D would be a great starting point. SBS mode please please please.

A mere 85 days ago I decided I was going to try and write my own custom game engine from scratch. Might not look like much, but just got the first pass of point lights working and I'm loving how its all starting to come together. #gamedev #indiedev

@matteo311 I haven't regularly touched my PC for VR in so long... madness.

Sadly it looks like PCVR is becoming the unwanted step child of VR games. 4 recent multiplat games I've tried all deliver a better experience on either PSVR2 or Quest 3. This includes better performance, less bugs etc. Crazy to think when I am using an RTX 4090.

@MattGrahamKYC @RetroVidGaming Those Sylvania LCDs are likely to be older 4:3 televisions, not really monitors. Probably max 800x600, maybe 1024x768. The C64 could connect to a television the same way retro game consoles did. Din to RCA, or RF modulated over coax. No scaling is required.

It doesn’t matter how you feel about TikTok.. if the ban goes through on Jan 19th the economy will crash. There’s millions of Americans, business and consumers that use tiktok for full time or part time income. Destroying 24B+ to the US Economy is… not a good thing. And it ain’t going to get anyone to come back to X, Instagram or FB.

@ragesaqvr I actually disagree here... Index grip is a nice to have, but not at all essential. You spell out the reason it's not essential when you explain why the second trigger is a bit superfluous and will likely go without Meta support.

So I printed out a Left Roy controller and I have a few thoughts. The overall ergonomic shape feels pretty good, the second trigger is neat but without Meta adopting this as well I don’t see it gaining much use. The grip button makes me very sad that Valve has thrown out everything they learned making the Index, natural grip is so incredibly essential and I already mourn its loss Thanks @SadlyItsBradley now my Deckard expectations are lowered
