@spoonfulofhan It’s interesting, cats can go into remission from diabetes. I had a cat that flopped between remission and active disease. It was tricky to manage as you could only go off his behaviour whether he was in active disease or not! But yea. People need to recognize it’s not curable.

Educational moment as a diabetic on Mounjaro: Remission ≠ cure. Diabetes cannot be cured. Diabetic remission means that our A1C is now at a normal range due to treatment. Without diet changes or medication, the levels will go back up. Remember, remission ≠ cure!

@Astercat_cos Omg I got back from Japan two months ago after being there for 31 days and I was so depressed… food didn’t taste good anymore and I wanted to do nothing. I’ve never felt that before after a holiday! It’s so real!

Yeah no being home after a holiday actually sucks so bad, I've never been on a trip that big before and now I'm sad. I know that it was achievable and I can just go again next year but urghhh

I’m so mad about the government cutting kiwisaver contributions. At this rate we won’t get a pension when we’re old so we will be dependent on what we’ve saved in kiwisaver. It’s so unfair. Millennials and Gen Z being shafted again.

@DrIanWeissman My mum can’t stand or walk for very long (clogged arteries in the legs despite two operations to fix it) so she does chair aerobics which is really good. She is 76 and until a year ago she was still working a busy retail job.
