このアニメを見て、おそらく今でも皆腰を抜かすと思うのだが、それはアニメーションの技術的な話ではない。志、精神性の話である。 褒めてない。 狂っている。 どう見てもこんなものを当時の日本で作る必要はない。 海外の名作児童文学としての需要はあるから作る意味はあったかもしれないが、そんだけである。 もっと安く手軽に作れるし、普通そうするだろう。 ただのコメ食ってる日本人がここまで本気で作る必要は本当にまったくなかった。 誰もそこまで期待してないし、カナダ政府がお金を出したりもしていない。なぜ昭和日本の世の中に突然こんなものがあるのか、本当の意味では誰にも理解できていないと思う。 高畑勲である。
