@brantleywrites It's a romantic comedy/drama. It focuses on Lia's love life but its also about friendship (found family) and Lia's journey as she recovers from betrayal and loss and eventually deals with events from her past.

@MillerDakotaJ My series started as a book of 135k words. Trimming ruined the story. I made it 2 books, added characters and wrote until I ran out of ideas. Then went back to edit out the parts I didn't like. I now have a 5 book series. Your book is as long as it needs to be to tell your story

How are some of you able to write 100k words for your books? Does the story require it, is it the world building, are there that many events? I ask because I'm sitting on 32k words and the story is told. I'm considering a sequel but the themes don't match, which is why I haven't added that into this story. I thought about trying to add more to the story but anything else would, in my opinion, be fluff.

I've also written songs but my singing sounds like cats being tortured. I don't know any singers. Surely using AI to create my song is not a bad thing. The lyrics are 100% mine, I just need a voice that is not going to have people covering their ears and running away screaming

My books were 100% written by me and the covers created by me and an artist. My series has 14 - 20 characters and I want to do profiles with pics for them. I would love to work with an artist to create those profiles but it will cost me thousands - post continued in comments

I would happily pay those amounts if the profiles were going in my books but they are literally for advertising. I'm considering using AI but I'm worried about being slated. Surely using AI as an advertising tool should be fine (literally just to create images of my characters)
