@ObeezyLive I have many shorts with higher retention than this and they’re all stuck around 30k views. Is this due to competition or what? I know you said they might take off later but that’s never been the case for me. it’s always within a day then they stop getting views (1 short a day)

I TESTED 1 minute+ shorts so you don’t have to, and here’s how it went.. (Day 1) So like I said, I would test creating longer shorts than usual to see how they perform This means I will have to make sure the “short” contains • A real story • Build up • Minimal pauses The stats below is on my first “longer short” with a duration of 1 minute and 28 seconds. I’m not gonna bore you with what my video is considering I’m not going to show you But I’ll tell you what I noticed in performance 1. HIGHER like ratio For 10k views (not engaged), I’m probably getting about 200 likes, yet when videos are longer, the viewers definitely feels more rewarded if they’ve watched til the end and actually like the video so when this video hit about 10k views (not engaged) I was around triple the likes I probably would’ve got Which is way above a 10% positive view to like ratio, something nice to see 2. Subscribers Gained way more subscribers, no CTA. Probably for the same reason, just people actually liked it 3. Requests for more longer videos Had so many people genuinely asking me to create more longer shorts. There’s definitely a good hunch of people there who seek that. And to see below blow up at only a 75% APV on a short is crazy, when usually I would need about 105-160% 4. YouTube notify your subscribers So my viewers actually get notified.. which is funny because when I usually upload a short that’s not the case But when I do longer videos, the first people to view my shorts is people with notifs on. Cool. 5. I just wanted to say 5. Can’t leave it on a 4 can I.. I’ll keep providing updates 🫡 Even if no one reads this LOL. I went on for too long.
