Spoke with a coach who has been at a few Blue Blood schools He said they don’t want “stock pitchers” any more - they have too many who fit the same mold He said he’s looking for the outliers now - who has a unicorn pitch nobody can hit - who has the ability to land a slider any count - who can make hitters uncomfortable Y’all keep chasing metrics - the more robots who chase a certain pitch profile that get made the more the outliers will separate themselves
