I completely agree but they are at the table where decisions are being made. Also you have the Tresury Secretary Scott Bessent has also mentioned Ripple several times. I wouldn’t ever count out the team at Ripple. I think they will be apart of this larger partnership between the US and UK on multiple levels.

There’s still a large group of people who think it can still be done. I’m still optimistic even though I know all the challenges we still face. It would be easier if Trump hadn’t made $1.3 billion last year on crypto. The Ethics fight is the biggest. We have about 4 weeks to see if something happens. Fingers crossed.

If blockchain “isn’t important,” why is DTCC — the clearing house that settles virtually every stock and bond trade in the U.S. — rolling out tokenized trading for Russell 1000 stocks, major ETFs, and U.S. Treasuries starting July 2026, with full launch slated for October? At the same time, Europe under MiCA, the U.K., Japan, Singapore, South Korea and others are building coordinated crypto and tokenization frameworks instead of pretending this tech will go away. We’ve seen this movie before. In 1996, Congress passed the Telecommunications Act, which unlocked decades of internet innovation and trillions in new market value. The Clarity Act could do something similar for Web3 by setting clear rules for stablecoins, tokenization, and when platforms count as decentralized, while still enforcing securities and anti‑money‑laundering laws. Letting resentment toward one politician dictate crypto policy would mean ceding leadership in the next generation of market infrastructure to other regions that are already moving ahead.

The CLARITY Act is the bill supported by the crypto industry to increase their reach into our banking system and broader economy. There are many problems with the bill, but most egregious is that is essentially legalizes Donald Trump's crypto corruption scheme. Let me explain.
