Duplicate Detector A vault you've been adding to for months accumulates redundancy. You don't always notice when you store the same insight twice in different words. The Duplicate Detector runs a pgvector cosine similarity self-join across your entire vault. It compares every memory against every other memory and surfaces pairs that are semantically similar — not just exact text matches, but meaning-level overlaps. The threshold is configurable from 0.85 to 0.98, so you control how aggressive the scan is. At 0.85 you'll see loose paraphrases. At 0.98 you're catching near-identical entries. For each flagged pair there's a similarity bar so you can judge the overlap at a glance, and a per-pair dismiss button. If two memories are similar but both worth keeping, you dismiss the flag and move on. No bulk deletions, no automatic merges — you decide what goes. If pgvector isn't available or embeddings aren't configured, the feature degrades gracefully rather than breaking. It tells you what's missing and stays usable. 🔗 : mnemosbase.com
