Crossword your way to the top! The 11th edition of the CCCC National Inter-School #Crossword Contest 2023, the world's largest event of its kind, begins today.

The West Zone finals of the National Inter-college Crossword Expedition (NICE) were held at NITIE Mumbai. Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director of NITIE, welcomed dignitaries and praised crosswords' benefits. FLAME University, Pune secured 1st position.

Zonal Finals (East) of NICE23. National Inter College Crossword Expedition (NICE) 2023 is organized by the @AICTE_INDIA, the apex body for technical education in India, in collaboration with the @NITIE_Official, Mumbai, and Extra-C.

The contest is being organized by the All-India Council for technical education (AICTE) in association with the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), and Extra-C. The free-of-cost registration will remain open throughout Stage I, which ends on April 30, on crypticsingh.com.

IIT Kharagpur student Aaditri Vaibhav bags first position in second scoring round, nicknamed "I", of the National Inter-College Crossword Expedition (NICE), 2023. She was followed in 2nd and 3rd positions by Akshay Kumar Joshi of IIT Kharagpur and Rishita Kumari of Patna University respectively.

#NICE23 is the second edition of the national contest which was inaugurated last year. It comprises three stages. Stage I is an online individual contest consisting of four rounds. On the basis of cumulative scores at the end of the 4th online round, participants qualify for Stage II which is an offline team contest. In this stage, five zonal finals are held where qualifying students have to form two-member teams to represent their institutions. The winners of the zonal finals then converge on the national capital to play the grand finale to claim the national championship trophy. The contest is being organised by the @AICTE_INDIA, in association with the @NITIE_Official, and Extra-C, a civil society initiative for the promotion of a holistic educational environment. The free-of-cost registration will remain open throughout Stage I, which ends on April 30.

Neha Susan Cherian of @iitmadras was on Sunday declared the national topper of the first scoring round, called N, of the National Inter-college #Crossword Expedition (NICE) 2023. She was followed on 2nd and 3rd positions by Omkar Joshi of @FLAMEUniversity, and Vijval Ekbote of the @IIITDelhi, respectively. Congratulations to the winners!
