@Shibanator @Pentosh1 That’s definitely a factor but it’s naive to think crime and woke politics are not driving it. In fact if you dive into the numbers you will see that your premise is incorrect at least in CA for sure. It’s why CA is facing record deficits. Tax payers left…

@Pentosh1 The real answer is that it’s just too expensive for the aging population to retire there, but this is Twitter/X so we can go with the anti-woke narrative.

@HunterWy1d @Memeface1000000 @DailyLoud Plus it’s not even true. Not really. They are guaranteed 7.50 an hour. If they get tipped the employer only has to pay the 2.15 hour but if they don’t receive enough tips the employer makes up the difference up to 7.50/hr. So zero tips and they’d be getting 7.5/hr

Man refusing to tip says servers shouldn’t “get 25%” for doing their job. "It used to be you give a tip if someone gave exceptional service," he continues. "When was the last time you got exceptional service anywhere? It's just expected." “You don't get 25 percent because you did your job." - Dustin Anderson

@Memeface1000000 @DailyLoud That is super misleading.. The employer has to make up the difference up to 7.50 an hour if they are not tipped at least an amount equal to that. So if they receive no tips they will be paid 7.50 an hour. If they receive tips equaling more then they get the tips plus 2.15 hour

The part where she pretends that some women and minorities being promoted ahead of more qualified candidates means that a female pilot would be a mortal threat to her safety. In reality, a commercial airline pilot is not going to be flying a plane if they can't do it safely. The fact that you picked the second best sprinter to run the 100 metres means you won't get the best possible performance but it doesn't mean that the person who got an edge because of their skin colour or sex is going to trip over and crash into the other sprinters. This is low level click farming for low IQ rightoids which just makes legitimate concerns about DEI sound like a bunch of people detached from reality. It sounds good in your echo chamber but to any normal person it sounds ridiculous. Because it is.

@djchrisallen @matt_vanswol They are not detained while awaiting a decision. Thats the issue. They are returning processed, handed a cell phone and plane ticket to any city they want to go to and told to show up for their court date in 1-2 years. Most never show up for said court date.

@jbayzzz @LARoyalty1967 Please bro. He wasn’t even bad the first part of the season and the terrible rotation with Peterson took him out of any groove the D was terrible the first third of the year and he lost his confidence. Trading him was so dumb for a team with no chance to actually win

@WeHearPodcast Biden has been a disaster. I wish it wasn’t so but it is. Inflation, the border, global strife, plus he clearly has dementia (my father did - I see it clear as day). We need better candidates

@EthanDriskill @collin_ruth89 This is dumb. Think about it why is it different in Europe or Asia? We pay an extra 20% anyway. Just raise the prices and pay better wages and eliminate tipping. Then if someone wants to add additional tip for truly outstanding service they still can.

@collin_ruth89 You’re comparing professions built on necessity to jobs based on public consumption- pay is small so tipping has to exist. People at restaurants are working for tips, without them, it’s bye bye restaurants

Tipping culture is out of control. And frankly, tipping shouldn’t exist. Lawyers don’t get tipped by their clients, they get paid by their law firm. Dentists don't get tipped by their patients, they get paid by their office. Teachers don’t get tipped by their students, they get paid by their school district. How did bars / restaurants get the consumers to pay their payroll?

Illegal immigration is a massive problem in this country. I think most Americans agree. Here is my question though to those who are trying to pin this decades-old problem on Biden alone: If an immigrant comes over the border or is about to come over the border, what action do you want taken? (Note that the action must be Constitutional and conform with international law). Also note that the action has to be something Biden can do without the approval of Congress since this is “all Biden’s problem” supposedly. Go!

@easton_le @lporiginalg He’s correct. Marriage has been ruined by no fault divorce. You marry. They cheat. Then Take half your shit and you half to pay them for years. Wild that any dude gets married these days. There are no reasons to anymore. It literally means nothing.

@lporiginalg This is sad. He makes more than enough to provide for a family and pay off her debt but the system has got him scared of losing all his material gains. I wonder if he will regret this ten or twenty years down the line when he needs more than something material.

During the height of COVID I was quietly disinvited from a family gathering because I didn’t get vaccinated. No one in the family brings that up now, no one mentions it. I think this is generally how people view COVID - a bizarre exceptional time best forgotten. Trying to score political points with it will fail IMO.

@BuilderMonk @Realgreen9 @GRomePow No it didn’t - it’s priced into the sale. It comes out of the buyers pocket but really is financed. If you don’t want to pay it don’t use an agent. You can save the $ (or half) easy solution…

@Crypticnic11 @ComicDaveSmith That's not correct. Residential burglary is a serious "strike" felony in California. They are thoroughly investigated and prosecuted, and people charged with residential burglary are rarely, if ever, released without bail.

Right, but that’s a terrible way to get the total picture. California has, essentially, legalized property crime, been incredibly soft on violent crime, enforced strict gun laws, and allowed public property to be used as a toilet, and decriminalized pot. If your takeaway from that is “libertarianism failed” that’s silly.

If you don’t like California don’t live there. Nobody cares. You don’t hear us go, “wow! You live in ____. Why don’t you move?!” This is some weird inferiority complex or something. Makes no sense for out of staters to obsess so much like this.

@Unbay4ever @EmperorBTC Or second theory I’m starting to lean into is we range until approval and then the mm give a fake out SNT event with sharp initial sell off reversing into a solid short squeeze. Either way I’m no longer in the STN camp. At least not for etf approval.

@Crypticnic11 @EmperorBTC Sure. But what would cause a sell-off? Just a "sell the news" event? I know it's hard to quantify but a news event generally doesn't allow for such a large and new amount of inflows.

Current Bitcoin Plan. 1. Bitcoin Goes in a Macro Side ways range. 2. Alts get time to Run. 3. Bitcoin ETF gets Approved. Price Pumps. BUT It Plays out like the 2017 CBOE and CME futures Listing. 4. Sell the news event. 5. Price Dumps. All leverage gets Cleaned. 6. We Pump to Private Island Money.

@Unbay4ever @EmperorBTC CME listing in 2017 was a STN event... I would have agreed a month ago & that was my initial bias that we’d see a sharp sell off immediately after approval w/longer term upside but every1 is calling that now so I think we go up until 1/2ng then dump in May before a fall run up
