"Getting something inherently not supposed to be regulated to a point where both sides can live with it is the challenge." Senate Democrats want consumer protection and oversight. The DeFi industry wants to preserve the permissionless architecture. Finding language that satisfies both is the single hardest negotiation in the entire bill.
