I don't know why people should try Perp Dex.

I am using Variational and try trade profitable while learning
Not doing delta neutral positions with other perps
I had a pnl+1800
And many of my trades kept open around 3-4 hours and some others about 10 hours

- Seeing solid revenue even in growth mode

my key takeaways as host new hires: -the team is growing w/new engineers + bd (17 total) -new hires are 'high performers' (former jane st. etc) -team are 'very selective' about who they hire -plenty of runway despite team growth updates/rwas: -next major update will address common feedback -rwas en route, 25-40 initially, infinitely more coming -expect to offer more rwa listings than anyone else -omni to resolve prohibitive funding rates for rwas -variational's approach will be 'new and unique' olp: -olp can bridge liquidity to/from other venues -think of olp as a 'liquidity hub for perps' -(you are not bullish enough on what olp can do) -olp can be much more efficient over time -spreads to tighten further going forward -omni already one of the cheapest venues variational ethos: -'want to be more of a fintech app on crypto rails' -team laser focused on 'iterative improvements' to var growth vs. treasury: -seeing ~200k per day in spreads paid per day -50% goes to hedging costs (this will improve) -the rest is split between different buckets -5%: refs, 10%: refunds, 10%: treasury, 25%: olp -'still figuring out optimal ratios' -'growth is the main priority rn' (growth mode) -closer to tge, will focus more on treasury/revenue -transparency dashboards to come -post tge, will have a stats page for buybacks etc. -'strong treasury & token help with growth' on feedback: -'taking notes on what has/hasn't worked' -the var team wants open/honest feedback -committed to being transparent/listening to users -wants to create a best in class product on ai/llms: -the team uses ai/llms for efficiency in a few domains -re: speed concerns, expect productivity to ramp up can't cover everything here. listen back to the whole thing below was an excellent space gvar

I love seeing USD1 move from CEX liquidity into the heart of DeFi perps.

I woke up to see a lot of people were not eligible for the @PerleLabs airdrop.
I am not sharing every airdrop opportunity anymore because I think most of them are a waste of time and money.
I never posted about Perle and personally skipped it.
I am not surprised that this happened.
Even if more people were eligible, it would be peanuts with millions of wallets and a referral system like this.
I am starting a long article about what I am still doing in Web3 and will share some airdrops there with tier lists.
But I think there are plenty of other better things to do.

So @PerleLabs extracted lot of fees and turned out to be a major disappointment for everyone : - collected voice data from users for nothing - launched badges and points campaign - farmed SOL fees from people on those tasks - added dc role system for free product marketing tbh this project was already a turn off for me that's why i was not posting about them frequently > launching on solana, lol > 69th cheap copy of ai data training platform > launching random raffle quests to attract farmers haven't seen anyone on my tl eligible yet and i'm sure this won't be the end we are about to see some crime on TGE aswell, its destined were you interacting to perle ?

last couple of months i’ve basically been rotting at my job, with no time or energy to show up here

There looks to be 4 distinct ways to earn GT Points:

Personally, I’ going to take a deeper look into LP Staking (as my trading is terrible!). GLV(Commodity) pool is currently at capacity, might have to look into other staking pools if this remains at max. Can’t really go wrong with Gold, Silver & other commodities right now!
Steps:
👉 Add USDC into pool(s) -> receive GVL or GM
👉 Stake GVL or GM > receive GP Points
(longer stake = higher APR)
Will report back once I’m up and running and starting to accumulate those points.
