Never been a fan of prediction markets as it’s basically gambling’s first cousin. My main issue is the binary nature of the game, which unlike trading, offers you very little chance for asymmetric gains (unless you’re an insider). Surprised it’s taken this long for anyone to try to fix this issue but @isometricmkts (DTkrpySU8LEQb6S9DUdxAdmv9hyqvgnSQ1YrDHoZpump; $iso) seems to be giving it a go with a novel approach. While platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi rely on rigid binary yes/no outcomes, Isometric offers more sophisticated continuous outcome ranges with graded, proximity-based payouts (instead of harsh all or nothing cliffs). They have a few other big brain ideas that differentiate it from existing prediction markets but for me, the above is the biggest draw. If execution is remotely successful, then this could get interesting.

iso_core is now fully built, compiled, deployed on a local test validator AND finally... all tests are GREEN! What did this test just prove? That the program completely works now! This is MONUMENTAL— from conception to execution, the Isometric model is now provably working! This core test proved: 1. The program can successfully create a market account on-chain with pertinent settings (bucket counts, price ranges, liquidity parameters, collateralization, oracle feed usage, expirations, USDC vaults, descriptions, market IDs, settlements and market quantities. 2. Proper invalidation for zero liquidity parameters and range inconsistencies. 3. Oracle update instructions work with only the authority being able to call it. 4. Only the authority can update liquidity parameters— liquidity instructions are fully functional. 5. The big one: math accuracy! Gaussian payout matches references— the implementation of Gaussian kernels gives sensible results for ranges and center-of-ranges 6. LMSR cost increases monotonically! The implementation of the LMSR formulas work as intended in all scenarios (buying more = costs more, scaled; LMSR marginal costs are positive and bounded— individual trades have a reasonable cost relative to liquidity parameters). Other relevant tests are now being conducted for positioning, additional settlements, multi-position ranges, full-range positioning and a few edge-cases such as minimum-width ranges and boundary-based positions. We are getting incredibly close to rolling out an entirely new primitive to devnet and cannot wait!

This screenshot is more important than it looks. What’s being validated here isn’t just functionality — it’s market behavior. The tests show that ranges are enforced, liquidity parameters hold, and the pricing curve behaves predictably as demand increases. That’s critical for any system trying to move beyond binary outcomes. The Gaussian payout matching reference values is especially meaningful. It means payouts scale smoothly across ranges rather than snapping at a single point. Combined with a monotonic LMSR cost curve, the market can price probability continuously without introducing arbitrage or unstable incentives. In other words, the math behind the continuous curve isn’t theoretical anymore — it’s deterministic and working under test conditions. iso_core, the first Anchor program for the Isometric platform, has been successfully compiled and built! This is a tremendous milestone— thousands upon thousands of lines of code building an entirely new primitive with immense upgrades, formula integrations, concepts and much more. The Isometric model is no longer a concept at this point, it is now successfully built with the main Anchor program opening the gates for the other Anchor programs to follow— a new primitive is slowly coming to fruition.
