I see many messages accusing me of being a scammer and that I 'hacked' $DROP myself.
Are you serious? The hacker only made about $70k, while I earned 13 eth in taxes just in the first hour of trading. I would have made more in just the first day than from this hack, if it hadn't happened.
I personally bought back the token after the hack and continue to build the project. There was a lot of interesting stuff planned in advance, and you'll see it soon.
I bought the token from the market, while also bearing losses from development and advertising.
Consider also the reputation loss to a 200k audience.
The contract is fully valid, and there are no errors in it. Our servers at @Hetzner_Online were hacked (by the way, it would be great if they finally gave a clear response instead of telling us to 'seek support on the forum').
Regarding the airdrop that didn’t occur - yes, it's sad, but fortunately, you didn’t need to spend any money to farm it.
I would have really liked to reward every farmer, but sadly, after the hacker's dump, the whole logic of the project's tokenomics was thrown off.
Considering our huge user base, we should have gathered a significant market cap to cover the claim price and keep the tokens locked. However, the price dump by the hacker in the first hour resulted in a 70% drop in value, severely undermining the buyers' trust.
We are still adding utility features, which will allow you to earn through social tasks. The farming mechanism itself is incredibly cool and helped us gain 200k followers, making us highly discussed throughout Crypto X. I think it’s worth keeping.
But the initial market cap of a project is determined at listing, and in our case, it was just laughable given the number of users after the hack.
Distributing 20 cents per wallet made no sense as many were still spamming transactions on the contract, regardless of the token price, and just losing money on fees.
Restarting the claim with a longer duration is also not beneficial, as the understanding that airdrop farmers, who got tokens for free, could sell them during a pump would discourage pumping the token.
Ultimately, burning them is the best solution, allowing us to reduce the maximum capitalization of the token and enable further growth.
We still have a huge community, part of which may have lost faith, but I will try to regain it.
In summary, I continue to build $DROP as long as it has holders, and will do everything possible to increase their number.
Yes, the hack hit us hard, but it didn't break us, and if we survive this, we will become even stronger.
