I just saw that Craig Kimbrel was DFA’d by the Mets, and I’m also seeing all the DMs about it being time for the Hall of Pretty Good. However, Craig Kimbrel will NOT be Hall of Pretty Good eligible when he retires because he’s currently top 15 all time in saves. He would have to fall out of the top 15 to become eligible. Whether you think he’s a Hall of Famer or not, the HoPG isn’t really the place for elite closers. I appreciate all the messages though!

The fact a 12 pack of Coke is now $10.00 in most stores when not on sale is what is keeping people poor. The fact that the average price of gas is above $4.50 a gallon is what is keeping people poor. The fact that the average price of a used car is $26,000.00 in a country with a median income of $64,000.00 doesn't help your case.

The abandonment of Mookie by fans here is absolutely stunning to me. He had a rehab which consisted of two (partial) games and a grand total of 6 PA. Six! That’s not a rehab. It’s just not. He returned early to play shortstop and that’s what he’s doing, getting his rehab AB vs. big leaguers. If Pizza Hut can return, then we can resurrect Blockbuster. And we should. While Netflix made things more “convenient” we lost something irreplaceable: The ritual of going to a place with your family or friends to choose a story together. That experience was special.
