@monokern @Polymarket @PolymarketTrade And this before agentic trading really takes off. I expect a significant % of volume to be from agents a year from now. Agents can trade for retail traders while they're on the go, sleeping, etc.

People still don't understand
how early prediction markets are
This chart already looks insane
Now imagine:
> 2026 World Cup in the US
> elections
> crypto going mainstream again
> AI-generated trading strategies
> millions of new users discovering Polymarket
Prediction markets are slowly becoming
a new financial category
And volume is following it
still early

People don’t realize how huge @Polymarket volumes could be during the 2026 World Cup. Just imagine — the World Cup is happening in the USA. Popular stars will keep posting and talking about Polymarket. And that’s without possible sponsorships or trading rewards for World Cup markets. Get ready for new ATH volumes this summer. Huge.

@Baheet_ 💯 trading copilots and agent-native PMs is the next wave
English

@Doonhamer_ Yes, I believe PM volume will keep growing, even after airdrops. The line between prediction markets and retail options/commodities trading probably blurs a lot by 2027 as we continue to broaden out from traditional sports.
English

really curious how this looks in 1 year.
are onchain prediction market weekly inflows currently inflated by hopes of airdrop(s)?
imo, there has to be technology for retail to hyper-gamble on real world events / capitalise on their virality, and I don't think it's memecoins.
will inflows keep climbing up and to the right as we head into 2027?
me thinks with increased adoption and regulation of current platforms + introduction of new ones (mainly HIP-4), yes.

@CryptoGamr @Forkast Definitely will skyrocket the hype on Forkast!
Since its seasonal, will this be a frequent thing moving forward? Like, how long would be the off-season rest between seasons?
English

@CryptoGamr @Forkast Already signed up Sir🙏 Cant wait for the league to start!
and quick question sir can we compete on both PnL and Volume leaderboards at the same time or need to select a single one?

@TheLaurenChen This tracks. PMs let users self-select into granular events where their domain knowledge adds to their edge, rather than just timing broad price action with options.

We are definitely due for a new breakout esport to revitalize the scene. The big publishers are the ones with the budgets required to develop and market a AAA title but they aren't incentivized to take huge risks.
This might be a hot take but I wonder if smaller studios utilizing AI dev tools is one way to overcome this capital requirement hurdle?
English

Does esports need a new game to save it?
The last real boom came from LoL, DOTA2, CS:GO and SC2 starting in the late 2000s, then PUBG, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Valorant and a few others gave the industry another push to sustain upwards momentum.
But right now it feels like we’re stuck. The same titles are still here, but they’re not driving new growth. Viewership has slowed, storylines are stale, and publishers, TOs, brands and other stakeholders are struggling to make the economics work.
For over a decade, the industry has relied on new games to reset the cycle, to bring fresh players, new narratives and new energy. But that’s also the problem because it means the health of esports is tied to whether the next “big one” arrives. And what if it doesn’t?
Maybe the question isn’t “what’s the next game,” but “how do we build an ecosystem that doesn’t collapse when there isn’t one?”
Thoughts?
