Really solid post. Been holding a decent sized position in $LINK for almost 5 years now. To me if they just address #5 - Ownership framework even that would mean a lot. I am just waiting to buy more, but unless there is a shift in management tone, just "trust us bro" is not going to attract larger capital pools. Honestly at this point I wish Chainlink was a stock. There would be quarterly calls, and information/balance sheet etc. I agree with you that "regulatory issues" has run its course. The time to start focusing on long term token (stock) price is soon. Enough with this opaque bullshit.

Not going to lie silver was a very tough trade for me. I traded it maybe 6 times with 3 wins and 3 losses. Each time I was ahead I would hold too long, and have to cover for minimal profits or a loss. When the monster drop came on Friday I was not fully prepared and minimized the day. (Yes I was green but not nearly what I wanted or expected for such a move) if this move would have happened on Tuesday for instance I could have profited huge. Overall this trade was a huge cost of mental capital on myself. From the initial parabolic in late December I was eyeing this trade almost daily for month and I’m truly glad to be done with this trade. It’s easy in hindsight to see that a particular trade was just not worth it to begin with. But again, I knew monster potential that this setup would eventually offer and that is what continuously sucked me in. Lesson learned here, I never want to say “I will not trade commodities again”. I have traded gold, natural gas, oil and silver many times before with success, but I will try to never be ultra focused on commodities as they trade different then stocks and the same rules do not always apply to them. If the market was “easy” everyone would be rich. It’s important after each trade to take something away and continuously learn from your mistakes. Never forget the most important rule of all CUT YOUR LOSSES FAST!!!!

With our demanding job as traders, is it worth trading your health for wealth? Are you even aware you’re making a trade-off? What are your boundaries? Part of what Alex Hormozi so often preaches is the authentic raw truth. Many of you may have noticed on my YouTube videos that I start every single video saying that the reason why I'm now focusing on mentorship and teaching is that “I'm done trading my health for wealth. If you all are in the trenches and willing to trade your health for wealth, then I'm here, happy to teach you”. And I don’t view that hook as hyperbole. I do think that trading comes at a real cost physically and emotionally, and I absolutely do think that cost can be worth paying. Many have asked me if I regret trading with the intensity that I did. I absolutely do not. Trading has given me a quality of life and a freedom that I never could have dreamed of as a young adult or child, the ability to never worry about money. That said, I certainly wish I better prioritized sleep during those times and didn’t drink as much back then. I wish I got outside more and took more breaks. I do think the job has aged me and particularly my eye health. But we don’t know, what we don’t know. The point I want to raise in this post is that the trade-off is real and with the push towards 24/7 trading, this is a topic more and more traders will need to come to grips with. Even if you are doing trading in its most healthy form, you inevitably increase your stress and lose your presence in everyday life. The job also tends to be highly sedentary. At its more extreme forms, you are working crazy long hours, monitoring the markets overnight while being hit with cortisol and adrenaline again and again. This is triggering your fight or flight response, yet we are sedentary and going nowhere, which is one of the worst things for our body. Chronic stress mixed with sedentariness, while not getting outdoors, plus often that stress is associated with poor eating, alcohol, and other substances. Now, look, if you are 22 years old or 25 years old or even 35 or 45 years old, that sacrifice can totally be worth it. The first $10,000 or $100,000 you make is absolutely life-changing if you don't have it. The first million you make is more marginal, but still absolutely life-changing. My challenge to you all is to reflect on: what price are you willing to pay? The far harder part is being willing to accept the trade-off. If you are going all in, you need to accept that you will get sick more often. You will not feel great on many days. You will have very high emotional highs and very low emotional lows. That being said, if you are willing to set boundaries on your trading, you must be okay missing out on performance and opportunities. It is totally okay to say that you will only trade the markets from 9:30 to 4:00, but then you must be okay missing moves in silver overnight or pre-market headlines or whatever else may be the case. There are some traders out there that truly don’t have the temperament to be traders. The lows are too low for them. It ruins their well-being and quality of life. They get chronically depressed or suicidal. That price will never be worth paying. I'm not here to tell you what the right answer is, because I don't think there is a right answer. It depends on your values and where you are in your life. The most important point is to make an intentional decision and then do your best to emotionally and psychologically accept the trade-offs.

Never ever seen so much hate in the comments. Everyone an expert today and everyone is long. Makes me want to step right back in monday. 99% long inexperienced traders thinking they know best with their 3 shares of metals. People need to understand I don’t give a shit about one trade. Yes I’ll be mad, yes I’ll let an out a loud “fuck”… then I do my review, I see if I made mistakes, I get my lessons, I rectify and I move on. Monday I’ll be back at the desk, I’ll still outperform and I’ll still be in market wizards. Everything is hindsight on here nowadays. Sad. I took 6k+ trades in my career, I don’t care about one.

Jokes aside, this is the worst drawdown I’ve experienced in dollar amount, percent off the highs, and length of time in all of my trading career. I’m practically speechless how difficult it’s been getting any kind of gain bigger than the losers I’m taking. I do have some swings in the background working but nothing close to level of inconsistency I’m having on every other strategy. Long term I’ll work my way out of it but for now, holy shit this is something else.

I’ve forgotten what a positive risk/reward trade feels like 💀🤣

Had fear of another asian hours gap up in silver so I covered 95% of my size at like 7:55pm EST (our system shuts at 8pm) Very frustrating to see this PA, but was super over due for a pullback. Grats to those that caught the short- the puts I have still arent gonna put a dent in what I lost haha. Remind me to never short a commodity again

For all the basement dwelling losers who were attempting to shit talk you the last few weeks - we are lucky to get a trade breakdown like this. Really solid thought process and execution. I will be (attempting) to incorporate this pattern analysis into my own trading system moving forward. Well done.

Sold it all into $400 level today. The thought is simple, we are now extending 40-60% from the sequence beginning and straight line. I believe higher is more than just possible but this is a clear whole number level and I want to be focused on my long term swings. Unbelievable and aggresive trade with no time for unplanned moves. $SMCI was the lesson, this was the exam. NEXT!

$SNDK Top 5 trade. Let us go through it, you'll get to understand why this was partially responsible for a strong start this year. It started from a clean base with 2 clear lines in the sand, a pattern I like do to its pyramiding ability first through an inside breakout and then a full breakout.

Trading always cracks me up in different ways. Today, I have guys over switching out my AC units. They show up 5 mins after I initiate a decent sized position. The guy was explaining to me they can remove a large bush outside my house, or use a small crane to lift the unit for an additional cost. The guy calls his boss and talks for a few mins. The total extra cost is $400. Meanwhile my position went against me and I lost $10,000 during this discussion over $400. Nothing to do but laugh about it. Just trader things. Yes, I probably should of put in a stop, but I also didn't think I would be gone for 10 minutes.

@Robleytrades Back testing is a waste of time for prop trading imo, literally never have done it once. I dont know anyone else in my trading circle that does any meaningful backtest

What are you guys thoughts on backtesting and is it worth quantifying my edge? I spend all of my time doing trade writeups, studying charts, and reverse engineering trades to find repeatable patterns that I adapt to my trading. None of my edge is based on quantifiable probabilities or specific data points (unless obtained through forward testing). However I'm being told by individuals that I need to define every bit of my trading so I can back it up. I agree with the benefits but I have 0 experience coding and I'm not sure if spending all the time doing that is worth it for my trading especially when my strength is qualitative pattern recognition. So the question is: Do I continue forward testing and reverse engineering charts or do I lean into back testing and quantifying my edge? Open to all opinions. @TheShortBear @TheOneLanceB @traderkylec @mvnnnyyy @MoistMango12 @thelaptoplegend @YanniTrades @BrianLeeTrades

Men with premature ejaculation have: - 88.7% sympathetic sensitivity - Higher glutamate activity in the thalamus - Lower GABA receptor expression - Higher oxytocin levels After 6 years of experimentation, I reversed all of it. I tested dozens of compounds - most don't work. But in this article, I went over those that gave me complete control, even at peak arousal 👇
