I have an issue with this. There are people in this country who have nothing to eat. I do fucking care where all this money is going, and I'm NOT OK with spending it this way. Parents with no money to buy food and clothes for their kids, people who can't afford healthcare—this is what I want my tax dollars to go to! Not wars in the name of oil for the 0.1%. Fuck this.
Lia the Trader 👸💸@Liathetrader

I'm sending a 7 figs tax bill to the IRS. I wonder if I should send it directly to Israel or some US defense company. America first. After Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Greenland and Israel.

@_The_Prophet__ meanwhile: per Grok: "China is Indonesia's #1 trading partner (~$135B in 2024) and a top investor (energy, minerals, infrastructure). Recent deals include $10B+ investments (Nov 2024 under Prabowo), $2.19B in projects (metals, batteries, drones, AI in 2025), "

⚡️This makes the picture bigger than Iran. Hormuz on one end. Malacca on the other. Those are the two chokepoints that China’s entire energy supply depends on. The US now has operational control or leverage over both. The blockade controls Hormuz. The Indonesia defense partnership positions American military cooperation at Malacca. 80% of China’s oil imports pass through that 1.7 mile wide strait. The sequencing again. Venezuela seized, securing Western Hemisphere heavy crude. Iran’s military destroyed, Hormuz taken through blockade. Saudi pipeline bypass activated, redirecting Gulf crude to the Atlantic. 40-nation coalition forming to permanently internationalize Hormuz security. And now Indonesia elevated to Major Defense Cooperation Partnership, positioning the US at the other end of China’s energy lifeline. Every single move reduces China’s energy independence. Beijing currently has no way to import oil at scale that doesn’t pass through a chokepoint the United States either controls directly or has a military partnership adjacent to. The overland alternatives through Russia and Central Asia exist but carry a fraction of the volume and take years to expand. This is the real game. Iran was the catalyst but China is the target. The entire energy restructuring that’s happened in the last six weeks gives the United States leverage over Beijing that no tariff, no trade deal, no diplomatic negotiation could achieve on its own. When Trump meets Xi next month, he walks into that room knowing that China’s economy runs on oil that America can turn off. The Indonesia timing is not coincidental. You don’t elevate a defense partnership with the country that controls Malacca in the same month you blockade Hormuz unless you understand the combined effect on Beijing’s strategic position. This is also the answer to the question about whether Trump plans five moves ahead or just operates on instinct. The Malacca piece makes it harder to argue coincidence. Hormuz plus Malacca plus Venezuela plus the Saudi bypass plus the Canada leverage erosion. Five moves all pointing at the same structural outcome: American control of global energy transit. At some point the pattern is the evidence.
Rick de la Torre@vrk_rick

80% of China's oil imports pass through the Strait of Malacca, controlled by Indonesia. @SecWar just elevated Indonesia to a Major Defense Cooperation Partnership. That puts the United States military in position near both of the world's most critical energy chokepoints. Beijing's energy security now runs through American partnerships.

⚡️This is wealth propaganda designed to keep poor people passive. The entire framework of “save your way to wealth on a modest salary” exists to prevent people from asking the real question which is why am I making $69,000 in the first place and how do I change that. O’Leary is worth roughly $400 million. He knows exactly how wealth is actually built. It’s built through ownership. Equity. Leveraged upside. Asymmetric bets. Businesses that scale. Not through saving 20% of a salary someone else decided you’re worth. He would never give this advice to his own children. He would tell them to build something. Own something. Get equity. Find a deal. Take a calculated risk. The saving advice is what you give to people you don’t expect to actually become wealthy. It’s a pacifier. It keeps them in the market as liquidity for people like him while they wait 30 years for a number that won’t even be impressive when it arrives. And the framing is almost cruel when you think about it. Take 20% of $69,000. That’s telling someone making below median income to live on $55,200 before taxes. In most American cities that’s barely functional. Rent, car, food, insurance. There’s almost nothing left. The advice assumes a life of sustained deprivation in exchange for a modest payout decades later. That’s not a wealth strategy. That’s a cope. The real message underneath all of this is stay in your lane. Don’t try to build anything. Don’t take risks. Just feed your money into the machine slowly and trust that compound interest will save you. It won’t. Compound interest on small amounts produces small results on a long timeline. That’s math not opinion. The people who actually become wealthy do the thing O’Leary actually did. Not the thing he tells strangers on podcasts to do.

Kevin O'Leary says you can become a millionaire on $69,000 a year. “Take 20% of your salary of $69,000 and put it into the market each week and don't touch it”

🚨🇫🇷🇪🇺 This is big: the French government and agencies are officially getting out of Windows & non-EU tech. Each ministry has to present their exit plan before Autumn: collaboration tools, antivirus, AI, databases.. It's starting with the Digital Ministry dropping Windows for Linux across its own infrastructure. It's the latest step from France to reduce its tech dependency as much as possible. Previously: > 80,000 French social security agents migrating to sovereign tools: Tchap, Visio, FranceTransfert. > the national health data platform moving to a European cloud solution by end of 2026. There will also be a dependency mapping across all public procurement, and a definition of what counts as a "European digital service" (which could be followed by other EU states as well) This is coming from the Prime Minister's initiative, signed off by three ministers. They call this move #GAFAMdetox

Both OKX and Binance are regulated by multiple regulators. As the UBO of a regulated company, publicly offering a $1 billion bet is hardly professional conduct. I would be curious whether Binance’s regulators consider that acceptable. As for whether you have misled the public and lie to world, the test is actually simple: has your Binance stake been legally separated with your ex-wife or not? Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos have already shown what proper asset separation looks like in a divorce.

@PernotLeplay Very interesting! As someone with a long experience in various Unix/Linux system I can say that users will soon find the very sharp edges of the Linux system. But otherwise a very good choice. The CLI is so good that both Mac and Windows have an implementation of it. #penguinfan

Yes. it's well-documented. For example, there are so many Americans in Lisbon now that there are Americans working as Portuguese real estate agents to help other Americans purchase homes. I moved back to the US a few years ago after 25 yrs in Europe and was surprised how many Americans (especially young people (in their 20s etc)) would ask me how they could move there once they found out about my situation (asking about visas, employment, etc).

If I should live somewhere paycheck to paycheck, I would much rather live in Italy or Spain than anywhere in the USA. By far. So many European countries are offering visa and passports. I see huge influx of Americans moving to Europe. Is that just me? Or do you see it also?

BREAKING: 🇸🇦🇦🇪🇮🇱 Netanyahu says the oil from the Gulf states will pass trough Israel in the future After the Iranian war, the [Strait of] Hormuz needs to be bypassed using pipelines from Saudi Arabia to the Mediterranean," - Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu proposes a radical idea of pipelines stretching from the Gulf to Israel, carrying crude. In this way it bypasses the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. The proposal would give Tel Aviv massive leverage power over the GCC and can hold the entire Arab Gulf hostage in the future.

Crypto-decade & its fallout Crypto created a lot of new millionaires and even some billionaires, and often way too fast for some of these very young people to even get used to their new wealth And crypto left a sh*tload of people that put their money in with absolutely nothing These are the two reasons my account grew so much and why so many people send a message looking for help In a way, the ¨crypto-decade¨ has been an unprecedented wealth creation/wealth destruction event with an enormous mental fall-out Now that so many people moved on to other things, ai, robotics, retired, or just got tired of the space, the question that pops up in the mind of many in this space is: ¨what the f**k actually happened the last decade and what was it all for?¨ Maybe most of us just had to learn some tough lessons on life 😉

The outsized buying of ES futures just 10 minutes before Trump's announcement is definitely very suss. In no way, shape, or form do I support insider trading. It's terrible for the free markets. Unless, of course, I'm made aware of the news in advance as well. Then it's completely fine and acceptable.
