I originally liked XMR since all transactions being private seemed like the correctly maximalist solution. I’ve come around on ZEC. Public transactions are a good social technology: * it enables exchange listings (an unfortunate necessity) * sometimes you just have to prove the lineage of funds to work in society, unfortunately you can’t build functioning institutions on the basis of “trust me bro” I still think XMR has a place in the endgame privacy stack, see how integrated it is into black markets, but I don’t see it accumulating long term value in the same way I expect ZEC to
