I'm testing out LPing stocks on @byreal_io using my CLP IV Spreadsheet. QQQ for example, has a 30-day IV of ~17%. That means there's roughly a 60% chance of staying within ±4.87% in the next 30 days. SO, what my tool allows me to see is what APR I'd need in order to beat the expected IL of exiting that range. Currently, that's only a very modest ~9% APR. Within that range, I can actually expect about 60-70% APR given the last 24hours volume and fees. Given these metrics, volatile as they may be, I would expect to be profitable in pure dollar terms even if we're at the bottom of my range in 30-days (see above). We'll see if this works out. It's been going fairly well for me on my gold / usd pairs, despite there being much less wiggle room between the required yield and the yield I'm getting. Anywho, if you'd like to play around with this sheet, I'll link it in a comment below. Happy Farming! I made a little tool that takes IV, CLP range, and APR, and spits out your expected returns. This is a very rough tool for determining whether a CLP is worth the trouble. E.G., this shows you need roughly 63% APR on WETH/USDC in a 2.5K-3.2K range to expect to break even.
