This woman lying here so peacefully is named Aida Aghili. But her story has shaken millions of Iranians. Fidelity Digital Assets says the most important portfolio decision isn't how much bitcoin to buy. It's going from zero to any. Their data shows that adding just 1% bitcoin to a traditional 60/40 portfolio produced 30% more compounded value over the study period, increased risk-adjusted returns by 20%, and only increased maximum drawdown by 0.27%. The first 50 to 100 basis points of bitcoin allocation delivered the most efficient improvement in portfolio performance. After that, returns scale but so does volatility. The initial move off zero is where the math is most lopsided. The corporate treasury findings are even more striking. A 1% bitcoin allocation to a standard corporate bond portfolio more than doubled returns, actually reduced overall drawdown, and increased the Sharpe ratio by over 40%. For companies sitting on cash reserves earning next to nothing in a negative real rate environment, Fidelity is saying the risk of holding zero bitcoin is greater than the risk of holding some. The report also found that where you source the allocation from barely matters. The difference between funding it from stocks versus bonds was 0.11% in returns and 0.13% in volatility for a 1% position. The decision that moves the needle is binary: zero or not zero. Fidelity manages over $5 trillion in assets. This isn't a bitcoin company talking its book. It's one of the largest asset managers in the world telling institutional clients that the data favors allocation, and that the biggest risk in a portfolio may be having none at all.

The predominant pattern here is still very much a bear flag, and now Bitcoin is at the top of the channel, the point where people start to question whether the bottom is in. Some quick stats: Current bear flag time: 86 Days Longest bear flag time (since Nov 2021): 100 Days Total bear flags: 7 It's typical to see these flags finally break to the downside after the second major retest of the top of the channel, which is happening now.

Is this rally a trap or the bottom? I looked at every 30%+ bear rally in #Bitcoin history that ended in lower lows. 9 failed rallies across 4 bear markets: 2011: +76% in 13d → broke down 2013-14: +88% in 18d, +74% in 54d, +34% in 38d → all broke down 2018: +37% in 7d, +65% in 27d, +49% in 29d, +43% in 26d → all broke down 2022: +35% in 66d → broke down (not the final bottom) Average failed rally: 56% over 31 days. The pattern: failed rallies are sharp and fast. Then there are the two that held — THE BOTTOM: 2015: $112 → +500% → never revisited 2022: $15,469 → +706% → never revisited The pattern: real bottoms grind slow. Current rally: $60K → $80K (+32%) over 87 days. 87 days is longer than ANY failed bear rally in BTC history. The longest was 66 days in Jan 2022. This doesn't guarantee we've bottomed. But the slow, grinding character of this rally looks more like 2015 and 2022 bottoms than like a bear trap. The test: $80K. A sustained break above confirms the higher-high structure. A rejection below $65K invalidates it.
