Wow… words are entirely inadequate to express how I feel now that I’ve matched into CT Fellowship. I will never take this privilege for granted and am so grateful for the mentors, family, and friends who have encouraged me and supported me as I pursued this career. This is a new beginning and the start of another rewarding marathon. Can’t wait to start at @OHSUNews in 2025 and train with @CBhamidipatiDO @Ruchi_TJ @JulieDoberne! Thank you to Dr. Schipper, Dr. Song, and all the faculty for this extraordinary opportunity! #matched #cardiothorcicsurgery #surgeryisaprivilege

The 10 commandments of #ThoracicSurgery as taught by me in between patients in clinic today… our @BCM_CTSurgery #Residents are so intelligent, curious and hard-working. It is an honor to have them learn alongside me in the clinic.

It’s a surreal moment to reconnect with two legends and trailblazers in surgery, Dr. Lucas & Dr. Ledgerwood, who first inspired me when I was their Sub-I many moons ago. Thank you for your contribution to surgery and for being the tree that so many of us have branched and flourished from. @waynemedicine @waynestatealum @AmCollSurgeons #ACS2025

A HUGE thanks to @AATSHQ for supporting @WomenInThoracic, and much gratitude to all who came out to celebrate the WTS last evening at #AATS2025. We are fortunate to have a growing membership and the continuous support of our allies, colleagues, sponsors, and friends.

#AATS2025 @AATSHQ Dan Jones & N Altorki looking at the effect of SBRT-IO vs chemo-IO in a retrospective trial Conclusions: Neoadjuvant Chemo-10 and SBRT-IO were associated with similar incidence of: • Major and complete pathologic response • Nodal downstaging • Surgical adverse events • Overall survival Recurrence-free survival was significantly improved with SBRT-IO These results should be interpreted with caution given differences in clinical stage, small numbers, retrospective nature & PD-L1 expression. In the words of J Donnington- “going in and beating up the tumor to expose the antigens and generate a more robust immune response likely plays a role.”
