Affordable in every sense of the word and that's two MINIMUM wage workers ($14 is typical minpay here even tho State min is $7.25). There are lots of jobs that pay more

@CsqrdConnell @Silva_Shadow @jimscard @clownworld Houses were on average 100k. The median household income was 30k. The median home price is currently 410k, the average household income right now is 75k. 30 percent versus 18 percent. There's no comparison.

There are exceptions to the minimum wage all over...here in Indiana min wage is $7.25 but every single job pays at least $14 because people won't work for less. Warehouse jobs are $17-20. 2nd job = time and a half.

@CsqrdConnell @jimscard @clownworld I agree with you but here in Texas minimum wage is still $7.25. Both of our girls were able to purchase their houses by the time they were 27 but they were lucky & not the norm. It was actually less expensive to buy vs. Rent. They took advantage of low down payment programs.

@InfinitaleComic @clownworld Don't agree. Just showed 6 acres with a house to a client in Indiana for $153K. Needs some elbow grease to fix it up a bit. 7 miles from town. Am looking at houses for another client for less than $150k in a town north of Indianapolis. There are numerous.

@CsqrdConnell @clownworld Have you not noticed that it’s only affordable when you don’t live where you work? Unless you’re able to work remotely, most Americans are unable to buy houses without insane mortgages. Zoomers have almost hope in buying a house and some land.
