@ClownIsGood The server is on 1.21.11!! It includes practice as you see here, Ranked, Casual and private rooms (where you can have custom gamemodes such as FFA, Manhunt or Bingo so far)

@Cublem Is this a 1.16 practice server? If so can you please make a 1.21+ speedrun practice map/server i dont think theres any

@ASkysMusic Obviously this is way more expandable than I described here, but I think this is the best way to onboard new players to speedrunning

@ASkysMusic You’re absolutely right!! I was thinking of adding a scripted run where a ghost NPC guides you through a full run at your own pace, while also showing practical mechanics like building a Nether portal from a lava pool?

@feintha The only downside is that it's a bit ping reliant, which I was thinking to make a fallback menu for if you have over 200ms for example, otherwise it's pretty smooth

@feintha The main trick is that if you send the clientbound camera packet to lock the player's camera in place, you can still read move and rotation packets (while cancelling them) and map them to a 2D plane, which you can use to make a fake cursor with a text display entity

@FlashzYT Ping can affect how the game feels since it's multiplayer, however I'm mitigating this by having servers in a lot of regions It's a trade-off that I've already thought about, think of this server as a central hub and as a way to connect & play with more people

@Cublem okay but what about ping? the whole point of MCSR being hosted off singleplayer worlds is so that there’s no ping. don’t they just send the RTA times to an external server and compare the results?
