I hope the Gulf states, Europe, UK and NATO realize that sooner or later they will need to join. It’s either they do the slow drip, or get it over with very quickly. They are already involved, but many don’t want to admit it. The Islamic regime is a threat to the world, not just Israel.

This war was between US, Israel and the Islamic regime in Iran. It could have stayed that way. The regime is forcing the gulf states to join. News of the 4000 Km missile launch at UK’s base, and the continued closure of the strait may force the EU and NATO to join. It’s getting dangerous.

The head of a Tehran rehabilitation center for orphaned girls with disabilities was arrested after resisting IRGC demands to house 50 personnel at the Hamdaman institute, sources tell Iran International. She was reportedly assaulted before being detained, and her current whereabouts and condition remain unknown.

According to the claim (unverified, as I couldn't find the Iran International article or other confirmations), the IRGC demanded she house 50 of their personnel at the Hamdaman institute—a rehab center for orphaned girls with disabilities in Tehran. She resisted, was allegedly assaulted, and arrested. No further specifics on the purpose (e.g., billeting amid tensions) or her current status.

The House of Lords has voted in favor of upholding the abortion reform passed by MPs last year, which removes criminal penalties for self-induced abortions. That means women can perform their own abortions at home for any reason up until the point of birth, without the risk of being prosecuted. The Archbishop of Canterbury and leader of the Church of England called it a legally, morally, and practically complex issue that requires public consultation.

A new Xbox is in development, and Microsoft has created a fascinating challenge for itself: a gaming console and PC hybrid called Project Helix. How will a PC-first mindset dictate the machine's specifications, and how much might it cost?

@sharghzadeh The people of Iran are just chopped liver? They have no ability to fight back... this feels like a situation were we eventually just start using only reaper drones to hit targets as they poke thier heads up. A protest is a good opportunity to take out opressors

And this raises that SAME much bigger question with this stuff happening. WHY ARE TAXPAYERS dollars being used to fund video games ...at all? When a studio receives hundreds of thousands of euros in government subsidies before the game even releases, the incentive structure changes completely. They have ZERO incentive to sell any copies. Normally, devs have to convince customers to buy their game.. I mean, before commies started taking over the planet. That’s the natural market feedback loop. If players don’t want it, the studio loses money and learns from the mistake. At least they used to... But when governments step in and start subsidizing projects under these ridiculous vague labels like “cultural value,” suddenly the studio is already partially paid before a single copy is sold. That removes a HUGE amount of normal 'pressure' to actually make something players want. Instead of designing for customers, the real audience becomes grant committees and cultural review boards deciding which projects qualify for funding. This explains so many wokie style games that are constantly being rejected by the gaming community at large continuing to release. That’s how you end up with situations like this. Developers chasing government approval instead of player demand. ...And this isn’t just an Italy problem. Europe and Canada have been pouring tax money into game development for years through cultural subsidy programs, among many other countries. It is becoming a serious problem. The result is exactly what you would expect: projects getting funded bc they satisfy the same old bureaucratic rules instead of because gamers are excited to buy them. Games should succeed or fail based on whether players want them, not whether a government cultural committee signs off on them. If a game is truly great, it shouldn’t need taxpayers to bankroll it in the first place.

🚨BREAKING SMASH JT EXCLUSIVE🚨 I've discovered where the funding for 1348: Ex Voto actually came from… and it’s WAY worse than we thought. After digging into Italian public financial records, I found out that the developer Sedleo SRL received €650,131 in government tax credits plus another €6,000 in grants from the Italian Ministry of Culture between 2021 and 2024. That's $745,563.07 in USD for those counting. Yes. This game was heavily funded w/taxpayer money to once again, push propaganda for the state. The justification? The Italian government’s cultural commission officially classified the game as a “work of cultural value.” Let that sink in. Medieval Lesbians to push an LGBTQ+ Agenda once again. So this project wasn’t just a private studio making a risky or stupid 'creative' bet... It was subsidized by the state, using a MASSIVE cultural grant program designed to promote media that supposedly represents Italian heritage and culture. And the receipts exist. The funding appears in Italy’s Registro Nazionale degli Aiuti di Stato, the national transparency database where every government subsidy to companies HAVE TO BE legally be recorded. In total the public support tied to this project is €656,131 (around $750k USD). WTAF!? That number is important because the program only covers about 25% of eligible development costs, meaning the total production budget for the game was likely several million euros. Which means taxpayers helped bankroll the development of this game under the justification that it contributes to “culture.” I want to thank an anonymous tipster who pointed me right direction and find the registry records. Everything referenced here is public information. My tipster is in Italy, and many of these Italian websites have some... hurtles to jump through for foreigners to view. This is a pretty wild discovery because it shows that the project didn’t just 'appear' out of nowhere. It was approved, subsidized, and backed by a government cultural funding program. And if this is where the funding trail leads… there most likely will be EVEN MORE behind the scenes.
