A total lunar eclipse over the #SouthPole last week. At its peak a giant band of auroras stretched across the sky, as Allen Foster and I watched spellbound from the roof of DSL. Zoom in to see us between the @NSF @SPTelescope and @BICEP_Keck telescope. An absolutely magical night
