Walmart knows exactly how much their raised the prices and on which products and over which period of time. They could publish that list of products, and allow any consumer that can provide a proof of purchase to submit for a refund. The federal government that created this issue by levying unconstitutional tariffs should and could manage the rebate process on behalf of the consumers and businesses involved. Courts are going to get involved and companies are going to be forced to refund customers - no different than many class action lawsuits that result in payouts to people impacted. 'it's hard' is not an excuse to not do the right thing. Ford increased prices on many imported models of cars in May 2025 by up to $2000. They explicitly said this. Did they put a line item on the invoice 'tariff = $2000'? No - they just raised the MSRP. How is a consumer to know if they got one of these models? They wouldn't. But that doesn't make it 'ridiculous' for that consumer to be refunded the $2000 if Ford is getting refunded for the tariffs. reuters.com/business/autos…
