@breebunn Snakes shed their skin, I don't think it's any more complicated than that. It may be the same snake that gobbled up Rykard, it certainly looks similar, but snakes shed skin as they grow bigger.
AHH I think I may have just figured out why the snake skin outside Bonny Village has openings in it!!🧵
The openings occur where the ventral scales (belly) meet dorsal scales (top). I originally thought they could be exit wounds, or they felt reminiscent of a Cesarean section.
@TheActMan_YT I beat him using only Carian Slicer and Great Glintstone shard. Didn't use a weapon or shield. It's not an impossible fight, it's just unforgiving of mistakes and needs to be learnt
I think a misconception people have with Elden Ring & SOTE is that one size does not fit all. Some people play these games using only one build and they don't change it or adapt to a new challenge.
Like, I have no idea how you are supposed to beat Radahn without a shield lmao
@ZullieTheWitch It looks like weirwood trees grow by being sacrificed humans, a.k.a. with human blood, so honestly the Erdtree just looks like a shiny weirwood given erdtree burials exist. Making things comically large is a GRRM staple, "What if Hadrian's Wall was 300ft tall? And made of ice?!"
Just thinking about how quick Albanese was to dismiss removing CGT exemptions on homes as a "bad idea".
No it's not. Why should people not pay tax on huge profits they get for nothing other than being lucky enough to own their own home? What the hell is wrong with this country?
@threalrosemulet Is it homophobic to not provide IVF services to two gay men? Surely their lack of a uterus shouldn't allow for such blatant discrimination.
@MrDenmore Sure, it would make sense that they can only exist in casinos. And ban online betting, gambling advertising etc. But you can't ban them completely.
Adults need to be able to make their own choices in a free society. You can't fully ban things because you don't like them
Pokies are predatory machines designed to vacuum money from our elderly and poor
They should be legal - we can't ban things in a free society - but we should tax the hell out of them like cigarettes
Put an 80% tax on their revenue for the damage they do to society.
I see they snuck a lovely little cash shop into Darktide. Always nice to be reminded that a $59.95AU purchase of a new video game isn't enough to include some cool fucking costumes for you character anymore - sure, you can earn a handful, but if you want the nice stuff, cough up.

Heads up, people. Any comment here on the Lehrmann trial could get you in a lot of trouble. The judge has asked for silence to descend. Judges get dead cranky at contempt of court and the penalty is usually a stretch of jail time. There’s no appeal, either. Don’t risk it.
@delilahvipic@oochotd Unfortunately, emotional and violent people physically lash out at their loved ones. Domestic abusers today are similar. They often love the people they abuse, and regret their actions. Daemon is a very violent person. Sadly, this fits.
@oochotd He was never violent with the people he considers his family, Viserys and Rhaenyra, wth is he saying? This scene was senseless and horrible to watch, pure shock value. The same person said previously that Daemon loves particularly Rhaenyra, we really can’t trust anyone.
Ryan Condal on Daemon choking Rhaenyra:
“It’s a moment that I think is surprising and shocking for Daemon as a character, but I also think it’s one of those things that’s been set up over the course of the entire season.”

@conquerorscrown This scene just reconfirms my suspicion that Viserys had a bad experience on the back of Balerion that forever changed his view of dragons. He loved dragons when young, was flown on them since he was months old. Was the Black Dread violently disobedient?
“The idea that we control the dragons is an ilusion.” - King Viserys I Targaryen

@tbrother33@JesperiAelius@TheWindJaker@wrafferino Parrying, pathing AI, blocking somehow, octagonal movement, bewildering hitboxes, weapon durability, literally buggy walls, etc, and that's just objective bugs. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy DS2 and it does have great ideas, it's just a mess code-wise. Needed more QA is all
@CuppaFalcon@JesperiAelius@TheWindJaker@wrafferino Like what? Like they said, the only one I can think of is lighting which doesn’t really affect the game. It’s just disappointing it wasn’t done well.
@JesperiAelius@TheWindJaker@wrafferino A lot of DS2's mechanics objectively didn't work or were just a straight downgrade. This is why people don't like saying ER has DS2 ideas in it, they can't disassociate DS2's ideas from the implementation of those ideas
@TheWindJaker@wrafferino That is completely your opinion and I think DS2 made some mistakes (mostly in it's lighting) but we will have to agree to disagree in general about the quality of DS2. :P
@somethinboutbo1@dogearedlibrary@BurnerFingerz@roaringbaldie It's not about blood, it's about appearances and metaphor. Struggling with Valyrian is a reminder to us and the characters that they're Strongs, and they'll always be perceived as Strongs. Aegon, despite his personality, looks Valyrian
@CuppaFalcon@dogearedlibrary@BurnerFingerz@roaringbaldie I see what you’re saying, but Rhaenyra’s children are the same amount of Valyrian as Alicents kids (Aegon, Helaena, Aemond). Theyre both half Valyrian, Alicents kids just have the silver hair while Rhaenyras dont.
