A first round NCAA tournament appearance has a disproportionately large effect on smaller schools NIL/revenue as opposed to larger schools. All they’re doing is creating more opportunities for these teams. They’re creating a larger pie. I think it’s mental gymnastics to act like this is somehow hurting small schools.

On the NBA all time 75 list, 59/75 players are over 6’3. Of the 16 6’3 or below, only one (Curry) is in top 10 all time conversations. The next best are probably Isiah Thomas or Chris Paul who are both around top 30 range. The top 5-6 players in the league right now are all tall. Wemby, Shai, Luka, Giannis, Jokic, Tatum. Even Ant is hardly short. Of the 8 teams remaining in the playoffs, I can only think of 6 rotation guys 6’3 or shorter - Mitchell, Harden, Brunson, Fox, Wallace, Conley.
