@AvinashSingh_20 Just reviewed some session replays in posthog and noticed an issue in my client. It can be tough managing a client, iOS, and Android app all at once!
So I am fixing that this morning.

My name is George. I am building a personal finance app that I love to use.
Mint (RIP) was my go to, but Monarch+YNAB felt like they were trying to do too much and failed at the core features I wanted.
Finwatch is concise, and the focus is to stay that way. What we do, we do it with accuracy and consistency.

@BatsouElef Thank you!
It was through various social media posts, the most successful lever was posting on my personal instagram telling friends and family about it. Then TikTok posts and comments.
The App Store initial boost also seemed to help.

@CuriousGeorgeG Oh wow, this is amazing! Congratulations!
How did you achieve 60 users? Was it with marketing or something else?

The thought crosses my mind constantly:
There are so many personal finance apps out there, what makes me think I can build a better one that people will actually want to use?
I always go back to why I did this in the first place. I was an avid user of Mint, but it had pain points that made it hard to truly consistently use it.
- If I didn’t check my finances for a few weeks, I would lose where I left off in my transaction list, always feeling like some transactions slipped through the cracks and weren’t categorized right, making me feel less confident in my chart’s accuracy.
— I fixed that in Finwatch with transaction read receipts and a user friendly “tinder swipe” UX for new transactions.
- The category update UI always felt slow and clunky, making the overall app experience feel bad.
— In Finwatch, category updates have minimal clicks to search & change, and the UI updates optimistically for instant feedback, making the updates feel lightning fast, easy and an overall rewarding experience.
- I’m not willing to pay over $10/month for a budgeting app
— Finwatch is free for most users, only users who need a large amount of accounts or want the best visuals we offer need to pay, and the fee is the lowest on the market.
There is more coming too that will make Finwatch the best app available.
