Paul Blake and his team built a sustainable franchise, own arena etc success, trophys now a re boot and a dabble into Europe. Not the lions big money, unstainable "history"

Not to be for @NewcastleEagle who bow out of the @ENBLeague play-offs, but not after a tremendous effort at Bakken Bears, taking the game to overtime after tying the aggregate score. They lose 96-92 on the night (by 9 overall). Tremendous effort though, what a debut campaign.

It's only fair that you have this stuck in your head all weekend too.

Bobby Charlton saw close friends die at Munich. He helped lead Manchester United's recovery to become English, then European champions. For decades the club's record goal and appearance holder, he was a World Cup winner and European player of the year too. What a life. RIP.

@bald_mamba @NewcastleEagle Thing is, last year he was late to camp due to GB commitments. Then came in saw a few of his recruits where not good enough and then a merry go round of players began. This year he goes with lots of players who have already played in the bbl requiring no real scouting etc.

@Curtride100mind @NewcastleEagle The current coach has to be given time to build a new culture throughout the club. A change this early would be a rash and wrong decision. It’s a long season and players could change still. More shooting needed and the new big men are shite. That hasn’t helped the offence.

@bald_mamba @NewcastleEagle Unfortunately fab was the culture, some layovers from that era helped keep some level of success... but that has be eroded away... Paul Blake is a brilliant man and what he has built since the sporting club pulled out those years ago is nothing short of a miracle. But oncourt 👎

@Curtride100mind @NewcastleEagle Changing the coach doesn’t fix years of zero culture building on the club as a whole. I see posts about a veteran taking over the team as the new coach. How about the veteran turns up to start the season not 6 stone overweight and sets the tone for the clubs success.

@NewcastleEagle The 3 second call was one of the worst I have ever seen, delpeche was out of the key already when he called it crazy, but still have to manage the game better with a lead going into the 4th.
