@aigkenham When dinosaurs first appeared during the Triassic period (about 230 million years ago), all the Earth's continents were fused together into a single supercontinent called Pangea. This allowed dinosaurs to roam freely across the globe without crossing ocean barriers.

Did dinosaurs once swim across what’s now the Atlantic Ocean to colonize Africa? Well, according to a new study, they must have completed this “once-in-a-million year event,” because, well, the dinosaur fossils are found in North America and then they show up in Morocco (North Africa), so . . . of course they swam hundreds of miles and somehow survived! (It’s just typical evolutionary storytelling!) According to evolutionary interpretations, 66 million years ago the continent of Africa was “a lone island continent,” like Australia is today, separated from what’s now North America by hundreds of miles of open water. But evolutionists have a problem. The remains of a member of the duck-billed dinosaur family that evolved in North America were recently found in northern Africa—prompting questions as to how they got there. So how did they get there? Researchers say, “A herd of pony-sized duck-billed dinosaurs must have either floated or swam across.” If that sounds impossible to you, you’re not alone—one of the researchers noted that it’s “extremely improbable.” “‘It’s extremely improbable that dinosaurs could cross water to get to Africa,’ he said. ‘But improbable isn’t the same as impossible. And given enough time, improbable things become probable.’ “Buy a lottery ticket every day, and if you wait long enough, you’ll win. These ocean crossings might be once-in-a-million-year events but the Cretaceous lasted nearly 100 million years. “‘A lot of strange things will happen in that time,’ he suggested, ‘including dinosaurs crossing seas.’” In other words, it doesn’t matter how improbable something is, because time is the evolutionary hero. Just give it enough time and, sure, it must have happened! (Keep in mind that no one observed dinosaurs swimming across the ocean. This is an interpretation based on their assumptions regarding evolution and the ages of certain rock layers, along with assumptions regarding when and how the continents broke apart.) Man’s word: With time, nothing is impossible. God’s Word: “For nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37). This is why evolutionists get so angry when anyone questions millions of years! Without eons and eons of time—an incomprehensible amount of time, really—none of their ideas will work. They must have millions and millions of years. The popular science article reporting on this new research notes that much smaller reptiles have been observed surviving long trips at sea. The researchers compared the anomaly of the crossing to the unusual journeys of some modern-day animals, such as a group of at least 15 iguanas swept off the shores of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean by a hurricane and washed up around 200 miles away on the island of Anguilla a month later in 2015, or a tortoise from the island of Aldabra that once drifted ashore in Tanzania, 700 kilometers away. We believe that, after the global flood, many animals and plants, including reptiles like tortoises, were stuck on massive floating log mats made of vegetation ripped up during the flood and that’s how they were dispersed to other places. Larger animals likely colonized new places via land bridges or “island hopping.” Lower ocean levels due to the post-flood ice age would make this easier than it would be today. Over the years, we’ve had evolutionists make fun of this idea—and yet ocean rafting has now been observed in some of the very species we suggested traveled this way, and evolutionists are forced to believe that a herd of 500-pound dinosaurs made the trek floating or swimming! Those duck-billed dinosaurs found buried in North America and North Africa were all buried during the global flood. They don’t represent populations separated by millions of years on continents slowly drifting apart. They were catastrophically buried, and the single pre-flood continent broke apart into today's seven continents where they were rapidly and violently ripped apart and moved into different configurations during the global flood just 4,350 years ago. As I’ve said over and over, it’s the same evidence, just two different interpretations because of very different starting points: God’s Word and man’s word.

Why do employees think they have the authority to pause company communication? At 10:14 a.m. a product manager changed his Slack status to a little tomato icon and wrote "Pomodoro - Deep Work." I immediately walked over to his cubicle and tapped on his monitor. He took off his glasses and asked if there was an emergency. I asked him who authorized him to establish a sovereign digital nation where my messages don't push through. He explained it was just a time management technique to get the UI mockups done by noon. I told him that blocking pings is a hostile act of conversational embargo. Our open door policy extends to digital windows, and he's drawing the blinds on leadership. He sadly removed the tomato icon. I stood there and watched him type "available for constant alignment" in his status instead.

Someone took the stairs to the 4th floor today instead of the elevator. I checked the security footage. It was a junior copywriter, walking up the steps at a leisurely, non-urgent pace. I waited by his desk for him to arrive. When he finally sat down, I asked why he bypassed the high-speed vertical transport provided by the company. He panted slightly and said he’s trying to get his step count up. I told him that converting company time into personal cardio is a form of wage theft. The elevator takes exactly 12 seconds. The stairs took him nearly 2 minutes. He argued that he came in early so it didn’t cut into his hours. I reminded him that early time is still company time, it’s just unbilled. I documented “unauthorized biometric optimization” in his permanent record. Then I deactivated his stairwell key fob.

@sola_chad The eye is often cited as an example of divine (i.e. perfect) design. Sadly, if it was made by a perfect creator, it's not up to any reasonably expected standard. Cataracts, glaucoma, retinitis, macular degeneration, myopia, presbyopia, etc. Evolution is a better explanation.

@ksorbs The President does not control the price of gasoline - unless he embarks on a stupid war, with predictable results for the price of oil. Either Trump is so STUPID, he didn't see the gas hike coming, or he is so selfish and STUPID that he doesn't care.

One of the most-asked questions by the younger generations today is, “How can Christians believe in a loving God with all the death, disease, and suffering in the world?” Sadly, most of our church leaders have told these young people that’s how God created everything. Only those Christians who take Genesis as literal history, as it is meant to be taken, can explain that the world we live in today has been affected by sin. It’s a fallen, groaning world full of death. In fact, God describes death as an “enemy” (1 Corinthians 15:26). This fallen world is not God’s fault, it’s our fault because we sinned in Adam. In Acts 3:21, we read that one day in the future, all things will be restored. In other words, when God makes the new heavens and earth, it will be restored to be like it was before the fall. And how is this restoration described? “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

Vision is an absolute marvel of Divine Engineering. It requires a minimum of 3 systems working together from the start, or we don't see. 1. Eyes to capture light & convert into signals 2. Pathways to transport the signal 3. A brain to process it Evolution can't build it one step at a time, because there is no vision until all those systems exist and function together. Compounding the complexity further, each of those 3 systems themselves require a minimum number of more complex subsystems to function properly. For instance, all eyes require opsin proteins. Opsin is a highly complex protein that holds a special light-sensitive molecule called retinal; when a single photon hits the retinal, it instantly flips shape, triggering the opsin to change its 3D shape and trigger a precise cascade which converts the light into an electrical signal to be sent to the brain where it can be understood as vision. Opsin alone, is useless. It needs the retinal molecule plus the full cascade, or it does nothing. This is the case with ALL vision systems, confirmed over and over again the lab. No partially formed system produces any vision, or any other function for that matter. Many uninformed Evolutionists attempt to argue that we see different levels of complexity in vision systems, which they say is evidence that vision evolved gradually from simpler systems. But the evolutionary scientists themselves refute this. Even the very simplest possible system of vision - the infamous "light sensitive cell" - still relies on a similar highly complex, interconnected network of proteins and other molecules. Mainstream evolutionary science even teaches that vision systems evolved independently, from scratch, at least 40 different times. The reason is because many vision systems are so different, operating with such unique parts, that one simply could not have evolved from another. The fossil record itself refutes the concept of step by step construction of vision systems. Complex eyes appear early in the fossil record, fully formed & functional. There is no increasing complexity in the fossil record - it's a complete contradiction of evolutionary predictions. The vision system has all the Hallmark evidence of design. A complex, interconnected web of information processing systems with incomprehensibly precise timing & coordination between them all to produce a highly specialized function. Nature does not, and cannot, produce such a system, not with all the time and resources in the entire universe. Everything you see is a testament to the Power of our Creator.

It’s important to understand that the fossil record with its billions of dead things is not just a record of death but a record of disease and violence. The fossil record holds numerous documented examples of diseases like cancer in bones, evidence of animals eating other animals, and fossil thorns—all supposedly millions of years old. However, the Bible teaches that before man sinned, the animals were vegetarian (Genesis 1:30), thorns came after the curse (Genesis 3:18), and everything was “very good” (Genesis 1:31). After creating everything, including the first two people (Adam and Eve), “God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Originally, before sin, there was no death, disease, bloodshed, carnivory, or thorns.
