BOOM! DMR NATIONAL CHAMPIONS🇺🇸 A real-life Hollywood ending to close out the weekend for our Cavaliers! Absolutely gassed yesterday, they asked to add one more race together. On their 4th race of a looong weekend, they ran 11:33; an NC state record and fastest time in America💫

If you’re gonna break out, there’s no better stage than Franklin Field at New Balance Nationals! @JustinePreisano started as the 17th seed in her heat and ran away from the field for the win🙌 4:51.65 (4:49.9 for 1600) is a huge personal best and NC #5 for this SUPERSTAR💫

Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap. Another Epic 4x800 duel with @uctrack (NJ) at New Balance Nationals. Back and forth battle the entire race, but this time we came up a nose short at the line National Runner-Up for our beloved CAVS Man I love and respect these girls💙💛

⚡Records were SMASHED at this year's @hoka Festival of Miles. Charlotte Bell (NC) lowered the @bigriverrunning HS Girls Championship Mile record to 4:41.33 & @_samhumphries (TX) also ran under the record finishing 2nd. 10 girls in the race ran sub 4:50 (7 of those sub 4:45)!⚡

Excited to welcome our new XC / Distance Coach, Mark Vilardo. Coach V was a 1996 All-American at West Virginia and 2X Olympic trials qualifier, with marks ranging from 13:58 in the 5k to 3:46 for 1500 The Vilardo’s moved here from IL in 2022, and he’s ready to dig in! GO CAVS!!

Would be cool if people geeked out about good HS girls in the mile as much as they do the boys. The boys deserve it, not a knock on them. But the girls deserve it too. Congratulations to these amazing performances!
