No, ARC Raiders is not dead by any means. Maintaining nearly 70,000 concurrent players on Steam 7 months after release is impressive, especially following the announcement of only two major updates per year. For comparison, look at Battlefield 6’s player count after its latest season launch, and that was the best-selling game of 2025. ARC Raiders is still king, and there's no doubt about that. 2 major updates a year doesn't mean the game won't receive any new content until October. For instance, we’re getting a new Trader next week. I believe Embark will continue adding smaller updates from time to time to keep players engaged.

Should ARC Raiders just drop a PVE only mode before they go ghost until October?

@ThatARCGuy They needed a PVE mode, a pvp mode, and a pvevp mode where zones locked you into pvp for the raid if you crossed them. 2 updated a year just killed any chance of that happening. But I'll play it, but not as much

The reality is it can be fun, I will play it less often but still play it, but if you deny Embark broke it then killed it with today's announcements, it's easy to see why you're hastily defending it after today. It's good, as a part time game now, my 550 hrs will add up only slowly now. Sad too ..it went from game of the year caliber to just another game . ...

I bled Arc Raiders every day for 550 plus hours, but to see the people ignore the fact it was broken over the last two months, and effectively killed by Embark today, is fucking wild. It's still fun to play mixed in with other games, but that's it. Their ten year plan ended before a year was up. Sad.
