anyone else’s young kid just an absolute emotional disaster come 5pm every night lately? she’s always been so good at bedtime but the last few weeks she’s had these wild meltdowns, “wants to be alone,” “wants to go to jail” (?!) and I’ve never seen anything like it

This is stunning. Just did a maths assignment with Yr 12s looking for home loans, houses etc. Every lesson, they would despair and ask wtf is going on, how will they ever be able to afford anything. My fumbling to explain economics sounded like this. I'm feeling vindicated.

@Brocklesnitch I rarely see movies for this exact reason but I did see the second Quiet Place in the cinema, realised as soon as I got there I was an idiot and then put earplugs in for the whole thing

There should be special screenings of the new Quiet Place movie for people with misophonia, where you aren’t allowed to eat. Like babies in arms sessions but for me so I don’t go insane with all the munching during the silence
